very interesting . thanks for showing that . it show me how deeply confuse alot of people are including me in some thing in under standing why GOD did what HE did. what did Jesus die for us? what is this sin ( that seems inocent im not hurting no one. I like to do that. there nothing wrong with that.) until we understand these things there no reason to beleive were doing something wrong and we need to quit.i sure it sounds like another religion with dos and donts to follow into nonsense just pick your religion. pick one you like. how do you tell someone that sin bad and this is why( not talking about the hurting someone sins)we need the truth of GOD that alot of Christian seem to have no answer but if you do it your going to hell.why and Jesus in how he the only one to save all of us.in what made me believe i am wrong is i had to see it in a very simple scienceticfic way that make sense . i just dont follow easiely.

You're welcome. :) It's definitely good to know where our culture is at with the notion of the transcendent, so we can learn how to approach people with the Gospel.

I've never heard her proclaim to be a Christian. In fact i heard her in an interview many many many years ago explain why shes Not a Christian. As a teen, she was in church, the preacher quoted a verse. Taking the verse out of context, she became confused and decided the God of Christianity must be weak and petty and beneath her. She did this rather than verifying her understanding. The scripture in question? 'For i am a jealous God'. She took that as God was jealous of us/her. Like some groveling god looking up at humanity being jealous of us.
I've never heard her spout anything but new age trash. Just sometimes, as is common in new age, she will quote the bible to try to bring it into the one consciousness, many paths to god mentality.
If you look at her current movement ''Oprahs Life Class'', she has this .. gathering of self help gurus, Tony Robbins (power of self), Deepak Chopra (eastern philosophy/new age), Iyanla Vanzant (New Thought spiritualism), and... T. D. Jakes. I know two of these are 'we are gods' teachers (Chopra/Vanzant), one is all about the power within, similar to 'we are gods' though (Robbins), and even T. D. Jakes has been known to teach some aspects of Word of Faith, which teaches 'we are gods' as well.

^ Now that is scary

If I am allowed to sidetrack, that reminds me of something shown during Christmas here.
The basic storyline was a girl travelling in time, meeting Jesus as a kid. Eventually, Jesus decided he didn't want to die on the cross when he grew up.

When the girl returned home, people kept saying "we're all gods", and the devil was literally living among them.
When she faced the devil and told him she knew who he was, he said "Yes, I am the devil, but no one knows....".

Ah, I'm glad you shed some light on this. Ravi Zacharias - a Christian Apologist and author - alluded to Deepak Chopra's philosophy, and how at the heart of it, it is essentially rooted in Hinduism; although Chopra does not seem to comply with this to my understanding/remembering. Ravi wrote a book known as "Why Jesus? Rediscovering His Truth in an Age of Mass Marketed Spirituality" - the original title being "From Chopra to Oprah". Lol.

Oprah has also seemed to have supported the works and teachings of Eckhart Tolle.

Interesting. What was this exactly? I mean, was it a play? Indie movie? Etc.

I remember hearing Johnny Lee Clary's testimony once and one of the main things i remember is him saying that Oprah was all about money, and she was very anti-christ (I think) but seeing that just confirms that for me

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

I can't really comment on what she's "about", but I figure one's net worth doesn't reach $2.7 billion if they don't care about money. ;)
