Ok, I know some of you agree with what I post here, but this is where I will make a stand, on your question of name your favorite author.
I encourage all of you to go outside the box now, and put aside all your conceived notions about the likes of David Jeremiah, Charles Stanley, Campus Crusade for Christ, etc..
You need to understand these ministries and pastors, which are highly regarded, teach a false gospel, that was invented during the reformation starting around the 1500's.
Any ministry that teaches original sin, substitution, total depravity, and pre forgiveness of sins (OSAS), as they all do are doctrines of demons, and leading many astray!
I didn't come onto this very large and popular forum to just fit in, and get along with all you who profess to be in Christ, yet take the truth and mix it with great errors, because your favorite author, pastor, or ministry does some good, and is very popular with mainstream Christianity.
I could list many quotes and show you without hesitation just how far off the mark these so called bible scholars are, but will leave that to you to do your own research, to see if original sin, substitution, OSAS, etc, was taught by Christ, and His devout followers, who knew what it meant to deny self, take up their cross, and follow Him!
All these favorite authors of yours teach original sin, total depravity, substitution, and imputation, such as what Billy Graham teaches, where God doesn't see your wicked old heart, but the heart of Jesus!(imputation)
I encourage you to not follow any of these men or ministries, they are very popular, and tickle the ears of the lazy and complacent who will not search the scriptures to see what spirit these men are teaching,which is a false spirit IF you could see that their foundation is built on sinking sand!
It breaks my heart to see so many here who profess Christ, being duped and led astray by these wolves in sheep's clothing, and accepting any wind of doctrine that comes their way!
Jesus came to divide, and made it perfectly clear:
2Jn 1:9 Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, nor speak a greeting to him.
2Jn 1:11 For he who speaks a greeting to him is partaker of his evil deeds.
None of these teachings are scriptural, or the doctrines of Christ, please dont take my word for it, you must be diligent to present yourselves aproved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of God! (TRUTH)
