Was the sole responsibility for sin down to Adam.

Hi folks, I don't want this to turn into a battle of the sexes. So ladies and gents, please be nice when posting!!! Someone asked me a question a while ago and it got me thinking......

If only Adam had sinned and not Eve, would sin still have entered the world?

A few thoughts for consideration:-

Romans 5 v 12 Therefore just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.

I Cor 15 v 22 For as all in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

Just in case this gets a little heated, here is something to lighten the mood!

** A perfect man, a perfect woman and Santa Clause all see a £10 note (UK currency) on the floor, which of them picks it up..............................................................................................................?

The perfect woman of course, the other two don't exist!
(Well except Jesus Christ but he was fully God and fully man so that doesn't quite count).

I would say yes, sin brings death and that was passed down from Adam to everyone! :D However lets look at the big picture, Jesus made a way for us to the Father! :D

Sin entered through Adam, but , if you were in the garden, are you sure you would not taste that fruit? I am pretty sure I would fail that "test" myself.

My point being: It is irrelevant. All it did was give us knowledge of good and evil, if anything it should have made it easier for us not to sin, knowing it was evil, right?

When God told Adam that if he ate of the fruit, he would surely die, but did adam & Eve understand what death meant?
Were thye told they would be kicked out of the Garden Of Eden?
Did adam/eve understand ALL the consequences of eating that fruit?
Would there have been consequences for just plucking the fruit?
