Hi
Not sure if this is the right place for this but I need some feedback. I have been praying for something and someone's salvation for over 30 years. Over the years I've asked God for confirmation of his will in the matter, if it will happen for me. Lots of times I would come across Scripture and just really felt it was my answer. I have also 'put out a fleece' many times as confirmation, asking God to let me see something unusual or almost impossible to come across in my daily travels and EACH time I saw that object. I am having a hard time believing God was confirming it like I know the enemy can mess with our heads and confuse us. I'm so afraid to believe this will happen after so many years but we're told to believe we already have our answer when we pray. I have no problem believing in God's amazing power, the problem is knowing His will cause if its His will it'll happen. I just don't need to have my heart broken again if I keep hanging on to this hope.

hi Caryn
Praying for others is tricky. You have to bear in mind people have free will and God can't force Himself on anyone, no matter how much you pray. Prayer is not some magic force where we just ask and its done and given to us, especially in the case of praying for anothers salvation. The person has to come to a point where they are open to God, to hearing about Him and having a willingness to accept Him. And that can't be pushed on someone by God, or prayer.
Of course it's God's will this person becomes saved, but again, God can't force it. All you can do is keep praying.
Also, we are not really to be seeking signs from God but rather trusting in faith.
