I actually learned the verse by heart from an old Sebastian Temple (early Catholic liturgical renewal) song, called "Sing, People of God, Sing". He misquotes it as "from the mouths of little ones you fashion endless praise, to silence all the vengeful ones and glorify your ways". The KJV is way different, and it is the KJV that verifies in Hebrew. My old commentary says it means that seeing how neat babies are, and how full of life, causes adults to praise God more. that's not backed by the Hebrew at all.

So I quite understand if you are not convinced it has any applicability to tongues at all. I think it must be up there with "Behemoth" for number of different imaginative translations.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, but does anyone know of or how to look for a charismatic fellowship even remotely near Ft Wayne, Indiana? Ideally but not necessarily really Lutheran vs modern revisionism. If not thanks anyway. I'm rarely here so please email: [email protected]
