has anyone else looked around at the world and became very sad because of all the evil and godlessness there is in the world. the more i look at the world the sadder i get because i realize that there is a lot of lost people in the world and it quite frankly break my heart expectedly because JESUS is so soon to return and a lot of people would end up in hell. another thought that scares me is the fact that a lot of my own family is lost and i fear that i will spend an eternity in heaven without them, i know i would remember them but it still breaks my heart all the same.i know it's our job as Christian's to spread the gospel but a lot of my family like the world don't want to hear the truth. i imagine that others have the same concerns but i still have a lot of concern and worry about my family thats lost and the lost world.

It is sad, and it can indeed feel hopeless. Just remember that your job is not to save people. Only Jesus can do that. Your job is to be a light in the world

Here is a parable for you:

[FONT=Verdana, Arial] A man was carrying a candle up a staircase In their way up to the top, the candle asked the man, "Where are we going?"

"We're going to the top of this lighthouse, and there we will give signals to the big ships on the ocean," the man answered.

"What? How could it be possible for me with my small light to give signals to those big ships?" "They will never be able to see my light", replied the candle weakly.

"That's your part. If your light is small, let it be. All you have to do is keep burning and leave the rest to me", said the man.

A little later, they arrived at the top of the lighthouse where there was a big lamp with a loop behind it.

Then the man lit the lamp with the light of the candle and instantly, the place shone so brightly that the ships on the ocean could see its light.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot understand it /grasp it / overcome it

you can do very little about those that choose to do evil. the best we can do is live a good christian life, be an example by how we live, fight evil where we can, help the oppressed, the poor etc etc.

Most of the world is at peace. The reality is, people will indulge in revenge and evil. the good news is, this is becoming more marginalised. Most of the 6.5 billion people on the planet demonstrate love and tolerance and want to live in peace. There are many good people choosing to do good.

Re family members, pray for them and be a role model. They will choose your path or they will not. You can only do so much.

Jesus said,"In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world!"

Yes, there are many sad and heartbreaking things in the world, but in Jesus we have three things that last, faith, hope and love.
Dont be discouraged about those that have not yet accepted Jesus, remember the parable Jesus told about those that came to work for the master, some at the begining of the day, some at the middle, soma at the end, yet all recieved the same pay.
One who had worked since the beginning ask why all recieved the same pay? Because it was the masters choice.

I have always seen thie reason is simply, because salvation is not mesured, it simply is, infinte and eternal! :)

Yes there is saddness, but we have our hope, Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh!

Revelations, God said, I will wipe every tear from there eyes, there will be no more sorrow or pain.

God bless

Those thoughts and feelings are normal as a Christian. We live in a world of evil, yet we know a better way, and we want them to embrace it, yet we know, most never will. We just have to sit back and watch people live miserable lives and send themselves to hell and we can't make them do any different. All we can do is offer the hope and truth within us to bring as many people as possible to God.

I understand the think positive feedback from some of you. I think that's great. I share the the thoughts and feelings of the OP. I often times feel physically sick because of what I see happening in our world lately. I just haven't gotten used to a lot of the changes that has taken place in our country. Its taking me awhile to ajust to the blatent disregard for life, the out of control divorce rate, the abuse and killing of children, the extreme bullying in our schools, school shootings, mass murders in movie theaters, the child and adult slave trade, forced prostitution, senseless and brutal beatings of innocent peple, the homeless, poverty and hunger in this country, just to name a few. I'm not only sad , I'm very disturbed. It's hard to block it out because its everywhere. I feel suffocated by evil, so I'll just continue to pray and ask god for strength.

I understand, for a few days I was wrapped in shock of looking at what this world embraces now.
Today, where I live, pot is now legal, and same sex marriage is also now legal.
The thing is, is that we have our hope for what is promised, evil will be defeated and crushed once and for all.
Jesus crushed satan under His foot!
There will be no more suffering and pain.
That God's Kingdom will be here on earth.

All we can do for now is to trust in God, follow Jesus, and where ever we can, walk and serve in the love of Jesus, lifting the suffering and burdens of those we can.
For this is what we are called to do. :)

Imagine, if every christian, helped just one person in need, loving and serving them, and by this witness, the person accepted Jesus.
Just how much and how many in the world would be saved. :)
Help just one in Jesus, and see the mirical of His love take root! :)

God bless
