Prayer for peace from Saint John of the Cross

O blessed Jesus, give me stillness of soul in You. Let your mighty calmness reign in me. Rule me, O King of Gentleness, King of Peace. Amen

I do not know how else to word this questions I have.

- Did the church come out of the bible?

- Did the bible come out of the church?

- Do you need the bible to be saved?

- Do you not go to church because you have a bible?

- What is the main message of the bible?

Jesus started the church through His apostles who in which helped established the church (Acts 1-4)

The word of God has always existed from the beginning (John 1:1)
- Do you need the bible to be saved?
Not really, some get converted by other Christians talking about God (Acts 8:26-40), etc
- Do you not go to church because you have a bible?
Bible is a set of instructions, teachings, and a guide for those in the faith (2 Timothy 3:16) but we should go for fellowship of other believers (1 John 1:3, 7)
- What is the main message of the bible?
Creation, Defilemen, Prophecy, Revival, Restoration, and Consecrate (Genesis - Revelations)

The main message of the Bible is God Promises and He Delivers. Love God, love man. Sin leads to death but Christ leads to life.

The Bible contains the words of God. It is the words of God that we need. It is God that we need. At some point it takes a leap of faith to throw ourselves into his arms.

The bible clearly states that not all is written.

Are you happy with half of God's word, or would you like to know all that God taught us?
