Do you think it's effective ministry to just cut and past epic essays with 20+ bible quotes in there?

Exactly how many people do you think you are reaching spiritually?

Oh you are feeling down, disheartened?... let me just post my Phd thesis from Bible college. Done. The world is right again.

no i don't think it's helpful, because unfortunately like when your in a conversation with someone and then they bombard you with scriptures , quotes, verses no matter how long , at some point you stop listening, i love the Bible but when i see super loooong postings i never read them i skim through it

but you also can't judge someone that feels it in their heart to do so

If I have to hit the "Page Down" button more than twice, then you tend to lose me.

No. It's called "wall of text to show the world how smart I is" and it is very ineffective.

I remember reading somewhere about a 5 line rule :). Personally I get reading fatigue from a lot of them, but they often seem to garner a few likes at the bottom so I figure some one must read and like them. And again, the neatest thing about the forums is the ability to say "next".

I skip those long copy paste post, they do not feel from the heart. Also how about those who post the whole chapter to tell you one verse? I skip them.

If it wasn't for C/P and spellcheck I could start a whole new language with my poor spelling.

Nah, no one person in particular. Just the regular crowd. You get them on all forums.
They have no time to be your friend or to be your brother in Christ. No time to pray for you. But they have a lot of energy vested in these big long posts.

I am very disappointed with the way a lot of Christians behave. You could say 'Christianity' as a whole breaks my heart.

I wish to communicate on a spiritual level with the living spirit of Christ, not dead words in stone (as they often get used by these people).

Good, good. It's just that I posted my essay from uni some time back (it concerned how Christians are both saint and sinner) but I posted it in response to some people's questions. So I wasn't sure if your thread was directed at me. Good to know. Thanks

Good, good. It's just that I posted my essay from uni some time back (in concerned how Christians are both saint and sinner) but it was used to address some points someone was asking of me. So I wasn't sure if it was directed at me. I've done that once and it was in reply to another because they asked about it. Thanks
Yeah no worries. I was being a bit liberal with my expression.

Sorry about that, I edited my post to get rid of the redundancies.

Indeed I to use C/P and spell check. But the majority of your post are your own words. You use C/P moderately, that tells me you answer from the heart.

In all fairness I am tempted to post scripture marathons. I find myself wanting to spoon feed fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I have to remember it is my job to seek out the truth. So I try to post just enough in hope we will find our own answers in the Spirit.
