If You Are Thinking Of Leaving....

Chances are if you have been coming to cc for a bit, you know the people who come here live in the real world and thus have real problems and sometimes can BE a real problem. ( if they become too big of a problem I refer you to the mods)

But if you have the displeasure of running into one of those "quiet" trouble makers- who slyly insult you and gossip about you behind your back, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE!!!

I know it is hurtful and I know people can be catty and poison others, even turn others against you. It has happened to me. But trust me- it is not worth leaving over. There are some really good people here who do not let gossip turn their judgement and chances are they want you to stay.

Honestly, take a break, confront the offender or overlook the offense- whatever God leads you to do- but please don't bail. Cool things are happening here and it's always good to hang out with real christians.

Besides, this is the place is where I see my relationship with God more clearly.
If they give me those "insult" and/or "gossip" behind, in front, or rear side of me,
I always have my cuppa coffee with me,. hehe

I guess I am one of those persons that can at times be very sentimental and get easily hurt or offended by others, also over internet.
Especially if I am having a really shaky day, then just some mean words or bad teasing can put my day worser than it first started.
But I also like many people in here, and there will always be some people that can't behave everywhere around in this world,
as much in internet life like in real life. So well, one has to learn taking control over own feelings and try to go on,
also having in mind that although some people can be rude and behaves bad against you, that shouldn't destroy your day.

And well, I am still learning....

Thank you for that, Kyra.... You have a very valid point, as as a memeber of this chat room for nearly 10 years, I've seen it thousands of times... But, I also know how powerful friendships forged here can become... I have personally met 5 people from this chat room over the years out in the real world, whom I knew here first, and they have become some of my closest, and dearest friends...

Please don't let words ever make you wish to leave a place where the fellowship can be so powerful!

I agree Kyra. We must remember that when we run into those who arent very nice to us, we have to remember that we are called to love. This is that oportunity that you were waiting for! The oportunity to be the adult. The opotunity to be the christian, the oportunity to be the one who can show others how its done. How can you do that if you run away and stay away? This is your time...right here! In CC chat. If you cant do it here (among your christian brothers and sisters) how can you be expected to do it when you are out amongst the unbelievers? It seems we forget that sometimes. But i encourage each of you to do all you can to love the unlovable amongst us. Its a wonderful way to help lead other to christ and to help your brother and sister in christ to learn to do so also. God bless and stay strong.
