Hey guys,

umm so this isn't really that important but it's kinda strange. I noticed that some peoples green reputation icons show up above their pictures and some don't.

Example: 1 person has a 4 reputation count, and the other has 2. The person who has 2 has 2 visible green rectangles, and the person who has 4 may show up as 1 rectangle of those 4 or none at all. It could be the system, but I am just wondering why that is? Its strange!

:p

I've never seen anything like that. I've only see the individual rectangles for each point. Only time i've seen names without them are people no longer members of the site.

What? lol..what I mean is Ok. I have 3 Reputation points recorded for myself. But if you look above my picture it only shows that I have 1. Why is that? Yesterday someone gave me a rep point, and I saw the list I have of rep points. I saw there there are 3 total...and I also noticed that there are 2 gray ones I'm assuming its inactive for some odd reason.

The simple direct answer is - because it is a standard feature of the 'vBulletin' system on which this site is built.

I think it can be a useful tool. If you see two people with similar number of posts and time signed up to the site, one has a lot of rep and another has little or none, it may indicate that one person has shown a lot of wisdom and good answers, where the other may not be so trustworthy. Its not a guarantee, but could be a place to start.
