Default failing marriage (what to do)

We have been married about a year and a half. While I wss 8 months pregnant he cheated. Since then things have gone downhill. Our arguments become physical and now he wants to separate. He has been getting "advice" from a "female friend". I am scared I am losing him

I'll be praying for you jaydee22691! Although you can't change your husband's actions, you can keep praying and show him love. I know how it can hurt to have someone cheat on you and every other negative thing that comes with it. But God can and will get you through everything if you let him and seek him first. No matter what happens in life, he'll always be there and won't leave you. That always helps me so much to know and remember and is very comforting in times like yours. I'm praying for you and your family that things turn around for good

According to God, cheating is a deal breaker.

When I faced this, years ago, I took it to a christian psciatrist to look over and advise. We were terrible broke at the time so percentage wise to our income it was at a huge cost, but what he said worked.

As I present the problem to him, I put aside my personal feelings about what was happening and presented it as fairly as i could from both our viewpoints, and managed to give an overall picture as fairly as I could of who we both were in as few words as possible. I was up front that working with the psyciatrist in a long healing process was out.

To show you how simple a solution can be, here is mine. Every person is different, our solution wouldn't be yours. Our basic probolem was in how my husband saw himself in relation to my spending more years in school than he did, and my out talking him. He had accomplished so much and was so smart I hadn't a clue without being told by a professional.

    Well, no, not quite.

“Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

It does not say to default to divorce on the basis of adultery. Forgiveness is vital - but not a "get out of jail free" card.

Will be praying for wisdom and conviction for both of you, jaydee.
