I am new to CC. When I first joined I felt good, thinking I would come across a lot of nice God driven people.

I was wrong! All I've gotten is attitude, bad vibes and a bunch of people who aren't speaking Gods word.

All I want to do now is figure out how to deactivate this account. I'm no stranger to the Lord, but I've recently re-dedicated my life to God. So I really refuse to read post and communicate with people who are nasty and rude.

Someone please show me how to get off this thing!

Im so sorry you have only seen the bad.
I hope you will give others here the oppertunity to show you the love of Jesus and welcome you to God's family here.
This site does have it's ups and downs, but in time I believe that you will find the good here in Jesus.
Like anyplace, the world does get in, but also, Jesus is in most here. :)
Look at it this way, great training for the world's worst. :)
Ive seen many here over the years Ive been here, and the good, deffinatly overcomes the bad. :)
I hope you will give all another chance, but if you decide not to, may God bless you and bring you in Jesus where ever you go. :)

God bless

No matter where you go, there will be those who are mean-spirited. I've been caught off guard here a time or two myself. But there are also those who are loving and caring. I pray you don't deny yourself the opportunity to love and be loved by those who know Love. God Bless!

you should hang in there and give it another try , don't let other people's attitudes and bad personality run you away, there are more positive people on here that are waiting to meet you. check out the miscellaneous threads , there are plenty of good Christians there.

Thank You all. I can't figure out how to deactivate my account anyway. So I guess I'll be here. I appreciate your kindness. Hopefully I can interact with more positive people.
God Bless

T_Laurich gave you the link to explain how to delete your account. You have to contact one of the moderators and tell them. But if you have it deleted and decide you want to come back, there is a small fee to come back. This is to keep people form creating/deleting accounts over and over. So be sure that you have no desire to come back.
Also, deleting your account does not delete your posts. All posts stay up.

I've met some nice people in the chat room. I avoid the Forums sometimes because I don't like drama.

haha, I avoid the chat rooms because i don't like the cliques and the inane pointless banter created by the people that run the room and care little for anyone not in their group, or what those people have to say. Or the ones that get mad if a spiritual topic gets brought up and they have a fit. Lovely. And a good bit of drama in their as well.

Hi Driven,

I hope you stay around. We need real Christians to participate. There is no doubt that both wheat and tares are here and both participate in activities here. However, if you leave, that just means there will one less Christian. Sorry yoor expectations of this site were not met.

God Bless.

Yeah, give it some time. And see how long the rude ones have been here. If you've been miffed by someone who's relatively new don't hold it against us; if it's been by long timers here, well, Zone and Ugly are just that way :p But we love them anyway.

Don't forget, there is a wonderful ignore feature. I've used it once and love it.

The community outside the site will not be much - if at all - different than the community here. I've had my doubts here as well, but I have come to be good friends with a few - some of which aren't even wholeheartedly invested in our Lord.

God bless, driven, and I pray you will find the fellowship you seek wherever you go!

Hey, Driven! :) Don't give up just yet. You'd be surprised at what you'd find.

i myself am just a recent member of the chat community here. I do get your point, though. If you are looking for Christians who are burning with Biblical zeal, you wont always find them in the chat rooms. Christians are still people, so basically they use the rooms more often than not to talk about special interests of theirs other than the Bible. But on occasion, when someone enters, and opens up concerns or problems and need Godly advice, the people here are more than willing to help and show their compassion and care, even pray for you.

I did get into a minor discussion on the very first day myself. I was surprised to be "attacked" as it were, but i simply stated my case, knowing that my heart's in the right place, and it was God's wisdom behind my reasoning. All ended well. I even have a few good friends here already, and it hasnt been over a week yet since i joined. :)

Another thing we have in common besides recently joining here is that, like you, i have re-affirmed my faith recently as well. I was blind/asleep for a very long time, and God has given me a very much needed jarring of my soul to break free from the illusion. So i am all fired up. Spiritually afire, and i'm loving it!

I joined this community, not just to meet people who share my Christian faith, but truly because i have to share the fire that is burning within me. I just couldnt stay silent! So you shouldnt be discouraged. You should use the opportunity of being here to share what God is teaching you and the works of His hand in your life. Fellowship isnt always about getting what we need out of other people (a trap i fell in years ago, causing me to leave the church i attended), but us being the blessing to others by giving the love, compassion and encouragement that we long to receive.

With that said, although you've been considering leaving, i welcome you to Christian Chat! :D Feel free to add me as a friend, if you like. God bless you always!!

Driven,
God does not waste opportunity.
While humans can and often do, God wants to make the most of your time here, there, and everwhere.
That said, God may want to encourage you, but God also may want to further use you for encouraging some
down-trodden soul, someone who needs the listening or writing or talking that only you--at a given moment--
can provide.

I am sorry for any blame-games, spam, and rudeness that has hindered your worship and happiness.

In the words of mi madre (my mother),

Don't let Satan rob your joy.

I can't thank you all enough for allowing God to use you. I appreciate the love and wisdom from you all. Thank You. I will be here for a while. I can't allow the devil to take away my opportunity to be helped or to help someone else! I know why I'm here....to stay!
