Dear Michelle,

I know all your hearts have been touched as you’ve witnessed the devastation in Moore, Oklahoma, caused by this massive EF5 tornado that struck on May 20. Our prayers are with all those people, and like many of you, I also want to do something physical to help.

Recently I reconnected with a man who’s been my friend for thirty years who can help us all do something tangible. Dr. Denny Nissley and his ministry, Christ in Action (CIA), began ministering in 1982. His first disaster relief effort was in 1998 at a flood in Cuero, Texas. They even helped in 1999 when a tornado hit Oklahoma in nearly the exact same spot as this one. And they’ve been to many disasters since, including Hurricane Sandy. They are one of the first ones the government calls to bring in on-the-ground help. In fact, after serving over 420,000 meals and helping rebuild over 500 homes following Hurricane Katrina, the White House asked CIA to organize faith-based groups to supply disaster relief. Christ in Action is a seasoned and recognized ministry that we can trust.

Denny has boots on the ground, and his eight big tractor-trailer trucks are rolling toward Oklahoma as I write this. One of them is a “shower trailer,” with nothing but showers. I’m not sure how all that works, but his volunteers do! He has 2,000 volunteers on the move and could use many more. If you’d like to help, either with time or money, please click the links below in the area where you would like to help. You have to register in order to volunteer. All donations go to support the cause, and no administrative fees are deducted. That’s a real blessing. Those big semis cost a thousand dollars each way in fuel cost, so I’ve given $20,000 to cover that part. Anything you can give will be a huge blessing to those in need.

Jesus prayed to His Father “give us this day our daily bread.” This is a chance for us to be His hands and provide the daily bread for those affected in Oklahoma.

Below, I've listed all the various ways people can get connected to Christ in Action and the relief efforts in Oklahoma City. Please take a few minutes to pray and consider helping, and then do what you purpose in your heart.

God Bless You,
Andrew Wommack
