Last week a friend of my Nieces who is 15 took his own life. He was openly gay, he was a smart talented outgoing boy with a very supportive family. He didn't tell his family thAt he was being bullied.

It's tragic and we need to be careful how we treat and what we say to people. On and off the internet. You don't have to agree wit h someone's lifestyle to be kind to them. If you have kids please watch what you say in front of them or to them.

I'm not pointing anyone out here I just think things like this should be a lesson to us all.

God Bless

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Amen Fenner! What a terrible loss for no reason. My prayers and my heart go out to his family and all who knew and loved him. When are our children going to be protected from bullies? I pray lessons are learned from this.

It is very sad for any person to take their life, at any age. Those left behind
are suffering for it.
I have a question that can't be answered. What if he had NOT been gay. Would
he still have been bullied?
The President has declared this to be acceptable practice. Does this mean he
is bigger and better than God the Creator of Heaven and Earth. The God who
made woman for man ? The same God who said it is a sin to lie with same sex ?

No, I do not dislike the homosexual. I have loved two very much. One my
relative and he died from illness. I know one right now who is ill and I do not
think less of him. I am not homophobic. I just simply wonder about the fact,
"Would this boy have taken his life had he NOT been gay ?"

May the Lord comfort the family and friends. God help our children who are
growing up believing a lie.

Prayers are much appreciated for the family. I too hope lessons are learned from tragedies like this. It's been happening so much lately with teens, I know cyber bullying is on the rise. It's easy for some to sit at a computer and say horrific things to other people.

Absolutely agree. I am always reminded of Ravi Zacharias' quote: "In a world where we can peaceably disagree, we ought not be disagreeable."

I'm so sorry to hear about that Fenner. :( I get tired of all the hateful gay bashing on here from various christians that hide behind the word of God to spew their hatred. Plain and simple..it's not quoting scripture out of love..or out of wanting to see someone come to know the power of forgiveness of sin via the blood of Jesus..it's just their own animosity of that lifestyle. I never have defended or tried to justify homosexuality, but I have never once been cruel or persecuted any of the gay men & women that I have known or been friends with over the course of my lifetime...they all know where I stand, and they all even though they don't agree with me fully know they I love them as human beings regardless of their sinful lifestyle choice because I never once condemned them for it. In reality...who am I,right? God is their judge. My only call is to be a representation of Christ to them..love them...and try to walk in peace with them. I never read anywhere in the bible that I should treat them like garbage or tell them they are headed to hell 24/7. Deep down... I think most people in the world realize they are headed for hell...they're miserable enough in their day to day w/out christians professing a loving God & then displaying judgementalness & hatred towards them. (sorry for my rant)
