Just curious on everyone's opinions...what are your thoughts on animals in heaven? I guess seeing my dog at home knowing how much I appreciate and enjoy his presence in our lives sometimes I think of the day he won't be around anymore and its sad to imagine. I guess my thought process is although animals don't have "souls" like we do, they are still creation of God's. God said all his creations were good and he cares and loves all his creation from the ravens in the skies to the flowers on the fields. I guess I just like to imagine that all other God's creations won't be destroyed just because they don't have souls like we do...

any thoughts or ideas or anything? I do not believe there is any scripture to prove or disprove either I guess I'm just curious if others have thought about this

I beleive it is who you are and not what body you carry...
that decides your favour with God and coming to heaven...

I must say i like the muslims pray for animal before it is killed as a way of honouring it and for its soul to go with God and to show respect.
It is a respect I want the meat I eat have been given, a good kill.
The throat is cut in a halal way with prayer and bleed to death but if you are then dieing with God and are given that time and prayer.
Would be nice more of this adapted around butcheries for some treatment of animals i seen is disgusting and then slaughtering them in horrid cruel ways infront of other animals "your turn next" and smell fear, blood etc.

I would like eat hunted meat (snowwhite ) lol i mean if i went out with rifle and or bow and arrow and a clean shot, good kill.
Respect.
Or in this way with prayer.

Now i been eating any meat out and it feels wrong.
Hope to change my ways.
Have high moral standards regarding this.
Expect nothing less than a good kill.
Meat may taste nicer aswell.

There was a film "can i take my dog with me to heaven".
Not sure if i watched it but your post made me think of it.

Theres scriptures about demons being cast into pigs bodies.
Maybe they had been bad pigs.
Apparently the demons asked for it and were granted it.

Best wishes for our animal friends. Fluffy, furry, wet , dry .......and for who you may be.
God bless.

I like some of your thoughts Isaria. I guess I have a difficult time imagining that animals who are in no way to blame for sin and God's creation as well would ever be judged and destroyed with the rest of those who turn their backs on God. All animals worship and praise God as the scriptures say, I dont know I guess I'm just wondering waht people think...

I sure hope my kitties will be there in heaven. Someone made a very touching comment to me when one of my most favorite kitties died: He said: Hobbes will soon be sitting on God's lap purring. What a lovely thought.

1st off let me say that I love my golden doodles, but I don't think there will be animals that live or lived on earth in Heaven.

Nowhere in scripture does it say or imply that animals have souls. Also, there is a hint in Job that they don't. The Lord gave him TWICE as many animals as he had before his travails, yet the SAME amount of children. Why? Possibly because he would meet his children he lost in Heaven and with his new children that would be double,

Also, the Lord never endorses Human sacrifice yet animal sacrifice he commanded His people.

I hope my kitties will be in heaven too. Most pet lovers console themselves by talking about the "rainbow bridge," where the departed pets would wait to be reunited with their human "parents." I know that's not what the Bible says. I wish my Bible would tell me more about the fate of animals. However, it gives me great peace knowing that God is a loving God, and he knows best what to do with his creation.

So, all pet lovers, enjoy your pets and please make them feel special, because they are God's special creations.

The bible does mention how the lion will lie with the lamb so maybe there will be animals in heaven. But 2 pet 2 v 12 suggests animals will perish and are not created to live on after death.

I think that before the fall, animals would have lived in peace with humans and with each other but all of that changed after sin came into the world. Maybe if there are animals they will be newly created to fit in with the new heaven and new earth. But sadly that may not include the animals we now live with.

i was going to say there was animals before the fall, and heaven will be like that, before sin was on this earth, i find it hard to think about going to heaven and my animals wont be there. iv always prayed after an animal has died that God will look after them. maybe its me being selfish but iv always told my self i dont want to go to heaven if there is no animals.

In Old Testament times the life of an animal was sacrificed to redeem the life of a human. I can't imagine an animal's 'soul' being acceptable for that unless it was worthy of and intended to spend it's future in 'heaven'.

Didn't Jesus say that if the people were silenced in their praise for Him all creation would cry out? Sounds like they have a connection to the eternal to me.

Paul said the same thing, in that all creation groans for redemption.

And when God says that in the redeemed world the lion will lay with the lamb, I think that pretty much clinches it.

I don't believe animals go to heaven. I do believe that there will be animals in heaven however just not the ones we may have had as pets. Just my opinion.
