I am guilt of boredom and sometimes watching too much TV. I have noticed that weather the issue is gay marriage, greed or anyone who quotes the bible as truth seems to become the laughing stock of the Nation.
This angers me and has actually had the effect of not even watching anything other than my favorite preachers and teachers. If anyone has noticed this. Lets name names.

Greys Anatomy tops my list right now for outright assault on the bible.

I don't really care for tv at all anymore. Reasons:Like you said nothing's fit or worth watching, or the even bigger issue, so many false people out there representing God. I understand how hard it is to not get bored, but what I find myself doing, rather than watching tv is either getting on here for some worship, or just opening up my Bible.

I have seen Greys Anatomy, I agree with you there. Another is Scrubs, then there's the soaps that come on during the day, there's kids/teens shows such as Wizards of Waverly Place and so on, that teach witch craft/wizard type things, yeah that's a great role model type show for the children and teens eh? There's many out there, too many to name right now. Plus, due to not watching tv really, I don't know of many off the top of my head. Family Guy is one, Futurama, anything on Cartoon Network late at night basically. The Simpsons, most shows on MTV, VH!, BET, etc. those stations are purely worldly stations. Southpark, and most shows on that station...what is it? Comdey Central yeah that's it.

Our time is way better spent when we're with God, weather it be praying, reading His word, meditating on His word, goig out somewhere to witness, teach, preach, testify, etc. whatever He lays on the heart to do, and so on. Maybe some srt of art, or just taking a nice walk, and praying, sharing a smile, a kind word, anything. There's angels out there among us I do believe, and they get sent our way sometimes, to test us, and see how we'll react.

I just LOVE to get out my Bible(s), Bible dictioanry, Strong's Exhaustive concordance, notebook or whatever of paper, highlighters, pens, everything I need, and study, do some research, and all...I learn SO much! I suppose that over using the internet or something to do the work for me makes me a dork huh? as that's the old way of doing things, not to mention I'm just 22, that makes me a major dork I guess? That's okay, I'm a major dork of Jesus then! It's amazing how much time will pass, and you won't realize it. Anyhow, just my thoughts on this matter. Sorry to have ''rambeled'' or whatever. God bless!

TV is secular, it is "worldly". You cannot expect the culture to act like a bunch of Christians. I think we should be less worried about the culture reflecting the values of the church and more worried about the church reflecting the values of the world.

While I totally agree with you on this one Groundhog, we must realize that the issue lies within the home, just as much as it does within the church. It starts off with Christians going to church, and watching tv, or allowing their child/children to watch, then they go to school and talk about things, and it spreads so quickly. So even if a child or adult doesn't wach tv for themself, they hear about things in the school, workplace, etc. So we should be out there explaining things to others. However I do agree with you.
