When addressing government actions it's important to understand that governments are merely a collection of agents that work exclusively for higher doctorial powers, namely the ruling class who operate in the shadows. The purpose of "representative" government and politicians is to provide the illusion of recourse and freedom to the slave/peasant class who are in reality human livestock and the property of the ruling class. A few of the slaves have more privileges (more stuff with less hardship) but nevertheless they are slaves. Thus kings, queens and emperors have always ruled the world and the sole purpose of this sham called "democracy" is to pacify the slave masses and keep them in ignorance. The gauge by which the ruling class uses to periodically measure the extent of this ignorance and thus the success of their agents is the turnout at the ballot box.

Therefore it is vital to keep the slaves ignorant of their true status and helplessness by using agents to direct all blame for the staged illusions of government incompetence towards other agents (politicians) who have no power, make no decisions and run nothing.
