Twice I have talked to angels, asking them to change how they were told to do things. Once when they said it wasn't right for my baby to live, and once when they were going to take my Dad during a stormy messy night. Those angels both told me it was best they follow the Lord's orders as He gave them, and I asked them to change them. Both times, they got permission to change and do as I asked.
I think that is what miracles are, when the Lord supernaturally changes how the natural order of things are, and God sometimes does that for us. At the same time, I think we could trust the natural order that God had in the first place, even if it asks a lot of us.
I think the real miracle is in the natural order of things. Look at how a family operates when it lives within the lines of God, what God calls the narrow road. They help each other, the parents help the children be independent and strong, the children care for parents in old age, they watch out for each other. When children or parents are selfish, when God doesn't come first so something else becomes the center life like getting money, or drink, or anything else, then the God order breaks down. It is truly a miracle, the care that God gives us. God even supports us in our needs, so the love is greater than the need.
