[h=1]James 1:17-27[/h] [SUP]17 [/SUP]Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[SUP]24 [/SUP]For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,

but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 NIV

John 9:35 .) Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 .) He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 .) And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 .) And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39 .) And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Hebrews 13:5-6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” [SUP]

so that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?”

"The Lord is my helper"... that is pretty cool in my book.

Isaiah 60:19

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

[h=1]Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.[/h]

1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Proverbs 27:9 Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.

Ever have someone do something nice just out of the blue? A friend who lives in a different state sent me a book to read for encouragement in a specific matter. I was expecting the book, but when I got the box that she sent it was filled with all kinds of awesome and thoughtful things, like a little treasure. It just really brightened my day. What a darling she is.

Paul said that it is better to give than to receive, but today It was pretty cool to receive in such a thoughtful way.

That's what is on my mind today, going the extra mile out of love for one another.

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Imagine if Yeshua returns and we are left behind and we are shouting this from the mountaintops!! I shudder just thinking about this...

[h=1]Isaiah 53[/h] 53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

Jesus spoke as if we have already been given something. Jesus has given us everything He had. And now its our turn as believers give as well.
