The year 2013 is soon coming to end. It is hard to believe
time has moved quickly and so much has happened that has
affected our life.

Do you have testimony or a rant about the year and what
it did to change your life, if it did at all ? Remember God is
never caught off guard and nothing is surprising to Him.
He wants to help us put the past behind us and begin a
New Year 2014 with as much hope and confidence in HIM,
and not man. Peace forever more. ~ Blessings always ~

The best part of 2013 for me was being saved and baptized. I love being God's child. My entire life has changed for the better. I am learning so much about the bible and living a Christian lifestyle. My marriage has never been stronger, I praise God for that. I am more at peace and have more joy now than at any other time in my life. I honestly cannot praise Him enough for giving me the gift of salvation.

Well, I guess for me 2013 has been a large chapter of discoveries, sacrifices, and exposure of my own sinful nature and hidden idolatries.
I have gotten to the point of my walk where I feel that very few things give me pleasure in life and I feel completely split open, waiting for the Lord to do his work in me.
I am waiting to see where he takes me in my schooling, I feel that he is creating all things new for me. Helping me come closer to my identity in Christ. He is also showing me the power of humility and how to present myself as a follower, as we work against the evil forces of this world. Winning (although I know it wont always be a win).

I bought a home in 2013. Did a lot of healing. Did a lot of growing. Found CC and made a lot of friends. :) It's been a very productive year.

if you want my honest opinion. 2013 is just another horrible year in a long list of horrid years id just rather forget about.

I felt like that about 2012, brother.
On New Year's Eve last year I said, "GOODBYE 2012".
We always have something to be thankful for,
even if it's the END of a miserable year. :)

well for me its just not 2013,it was also 2012,2011,2010,2009,2008 truth be told only full year I though was great was 1993. 1st half of 1994 was great to. then it all went south.

I had some people in my family do something very hurtful in the name of " doing the right thing". and the positive thing that came out of it is God really used that to teach me to be much more careful about what I say and do even if my motives are good. that was my big outstanding thing.

Becoming a child of God is something you never will forget.
Isn't it amazing how He has changed us from who we were
to where we are today? Jesus really does clean us up. I
was thinking last night about how a person can't change
themselves, but it is a miracle how by receiving Him into our
life, we are truly new. God bless you and I share in your
happiness. Some day we will meet in Heaven .

Oh you are so blessed and the road ahead is one that Jesus will walk with you on.
You will go along and everything is going well, as you admire the beautiful flowers
along the way. One day the flowers will appear to need watered. You will remember
Jesus said, Let him who thirst come after me. And he who drinks of me will never
thirst. So, this is when you will be the one to water the flowers and there will be
a great reward for you when you get to Heaven. Some times we do stumble, but
keeping our eyes upon Jesus and remembering with Him you can do anything. And
yes the enemy will try lure you away from Jesus, but reminding yourself "With God
all things are possible." You have a beautiful spirit about you and I pray your year
of 2014 will be filled with more of Christ as you feed upon His Word. God bless ~

Jesus is the only trustworthy friend you can have.

Times like what you have gone through can often help us
help someone else. The Word tells us we go through trials
so we may help another going through same thing. I pray
you will heal and remember you are never alone. Accept
the blessings the Lord has waiting for you. I think we often
put a band aid over our wound and it appears healed because
it has scabbed over. But under that scab is infection. So,
may all the infected area you have hidden be healed from the
inside out and let you experience happiness in the Lord in the
year of 2014. I pray for you to know freedom as I am sure
others are praying for you too. The Lord bless and keep you
in His tender loving care. Amen

Oh, have I met my match ? I know a little about what you mean.
My husband tells me 'leave it alone.' I am a person if someone calls
and leaves a message on my phone and the call is for someone else,
I will call the person back and tell them they left message on wrong
phone. That is an example, I have done. But, I understand where
you are coming from. And like you said, we learn from our mistakes.
That doesn't mean we won't do it again, but we may think first before
we do it. God bless you and I do pray 2014 will bring healing in relationships.

gb9 ; I get it. I find it so difficult to keep my thoughts or opinion to
myself. I get the fact you have learned a lesson and like you said
even when your motive was meant for good, some do not understand
you. But the up side is you learned a lesson and that is a good thing.

What stands out in my mind now that the year 2013 is just coming to an end,
is how much suffering came to people all over the world. Those who have had
tragedies and lost everything. At the same time I am reminded God has always
been with everyone through it all. We don't always understand the "why", but
we know God will extend His hand to us if we will reach up and take it.
I am grateful for the fact He has blessed so many and the awesome testimonies
we hear. May the Lord hear our grateful heart as we give Him all the Glory,
Honor and Praise.

2013 I learned that things aren't always what they seem. And you really can't tell what someone else is thinking.
I've also learned that what seems impossible is actually possible when you trust God.

Oh so true. One of my favorite quotes is "For with God all things are possible."
I like your first line because it has taking me so long to realize I can't really
know what someone else is thinking. Thank you for sharing your lessons in life
and the year of 2013. May 2014 be one of strength as we hold on to the Lord
God and trust Him to meet all our needs. We need Him more than ever don't we ?

Yes, it is amazing to me that I have changed so much. I am a new person thanks to Him. It is miraculous how everything in my life has changed for the better.
