Anyone ever come on here hoping to find a great peaceful forum where people are constructively discussing their love for God and the revelations of God's word, and people seeking prayer and those offering prayer...yet everytime I come on here, all I find is the war of the roses taking place time and time again :p two armies of holy rollers, beating each other with scriptures haha..

If every believer just accepted that Jesus is Lord and that He is the only way of salvation then perhaps we would get on better..but sadly people like to forum troll and drop theology nukes like "Ye wicked sinner, may you burn for your sins unless your fear God and be perfect!!!" or "Speak in tongues or your not saved!!!!"

oh my we, the church, are in a right state of a mess aren't we? :)

this is why i go the singles forum often. so much awesomeness and sillyness there. if you go to the bible discussion forum dont let the name fool u there will be no discussing only war. bring a helmet:]

A helmet?! more like riot shield and tear gas!! haha >__< I like sillyness :3 im too young to be old :p Perhaps our sillyness is why we are single?! D: maybe if we ask in bible forum they will have some theory or doctrine to prove or disprove?

lol riot shield and tear gas i like that. but yes go to the bible discussion forum and post any belief and you WILL be proven wrong. you will be attacked with scripture like its some sort of weapon and you will acquire enemies for ur your belief no matter what it is. dont get me wrong that forum is a good place to go to because even with all the chaos there is still good ppl to be found, but it appears to be more of a forum for proving or disproving doctrine

oh yeah, im sure if Jesus himself posted in the forum, they word argue with him.... :p yesh, in the bible forum scripture is thrown like ninja shurikens, there should be a big warning sign up on entry "Enter at own risk! we are not liable for any emotional, psychological or doctrinal injuries you may suffer during your visit to the Bible Forums" :p i know this from experience, i have entered there and boom shot down with a scripture cannon haha! :(

well, so many people think that their doctrine and worldviews are the ONLY ones that are correct. listen to most pastors and you will only hear the same sermons based on the same verses re-hashed. so many demoninations just say the same things in different ways. and most are very intolerant of different views. so when so many people hear the same thing packaged different ways and when they see something very different, they get very defensive. just my little opinion.

My pastor said this, which helped me: We are not called to fix the church. We are called to live for Christ and speak the truth. Whoever hears the truth is accountable for what they do with it. The way I look at it, is when I show up, I expect one Christian to be there...me.

.......uh, just guessing here, but you haven't read the Book of Acts?........

IF you think today's Church is in such a "state," then you will surely be discouraged to learn that the early Church experienced the same struggles of "theological teachings." And arguments, divisions, and dressing downs were not uncommon among the early Church, the Elders and the Apostles.
