Well, I'd basically do what I always do with some minor adjustments, if it was a 24 hour period...warning: I like schedules!
7:00am: I'd wake up and join the monks on campus for Lauds so I could begin my day with scriptural prayer.
7:30am: I'd go eat breakfast in the cafeteria with my friends...probably eat tons of bacon, buttery french toast, grits, eggs, and an epic glass of orange juice.
8:30am: I'd begin writing letters to my loved ones, short simple goodbye/will type of stuff.
12:00pm: Join the monks again for Midday prayer.
12:30pm: I'd go eat lunch, probably off campus. Philly Cheesesteak.
1:00pm: Call up the other monks I know in Indiana and tell them how much they affected my life, and how much I love them.
3:00pm: Hang out with my friends and tell them how much they mean to me.
5:00pm: Final confession & mass with the monks on campus.
5:30pm: Huge awesome dinner with my friends. Steak. Taters. A pint of Guinness. I'd make it a party, with my favorite band (Flogging Molly) playing songs on the juke box that we would all sing and have a good time to.
7:00pm: Vespers (evening prayer) with the monks. I would savor the sound of their voices as they chanted psalms and sang hymns.
7:30pm: I'd talk to the monks on campus and let them know how much they have impacted my life.
9:00pm: I'd sit somewhere - probably the chapel - and read out of the Bible, contemplating it and the road ahead.
11:00pm: I'd go lay out on the plaza in front of the Abbey church, stare at the stars, and thinks about God until I dozed off to sleep, making sure to think of his love for me, my love for him, and my trust in him.
I guess I would fall asleep and not wake up here anymore...this is basically my day, except the food is dull and I don't have fun pub-parties with Flogging Molly in the background...and I always wake up not dead...so far lol.
