Have any of you seen the movie, heaven is for real?
I just watched it and have mixed feelings about it, and the face of Jesus shown , one has to wonder in faith.

God bless

I haven't seen it or read the book and I'm very wary about extrabiblical journeys to Heaven. I think the Bible's enough. And if there's still some questions, there's a comprehensive and biblically-sound book by Randy Alcorn called "Heaven" that is one large study on the nature of an afterlife spent with our Creator God.

The question for me is not that such is possible, for I believe it is.:)
Did not Paul speak to the third heaven?
The question I have is this story for real? :)
I do sometimes wonder if we have become so ingraned into distrust, to question, that faith has been set by the wayside.
The one thing that does stand out for me, is that such is shown to a small child, seems the way that it should be revieled.:)

Always and first though, is in faith, hope and love, all is in Jesus. :)

God bless

Is it possible? Sure. But why would God reveal any new revelation about Heaven to someone outside the Bible? Also, why would the account not square with a biblically understanding of Heaven? I think this not-so-new-fad calls for a huge dose of discernment. We should be looking to the Bible for the God's Word on Heaven, not a little pastor boy's drug-induced hallucinations.

I agree, but the bible does speak to, that in the last days, our sons and daughters will dream, have visions and prophacy.
Not saying I say the movie is true, as you are right, there are alot of fads that try to pull us in different directions.
But there are just as many deceptions done in the name of scripture as well.
For it is by faith in Jesus we saved.
I am just greatful in Jesus, God holds me with His right hand, and Jesus will not allow any to take me from his hand. :)

God bless

By the way, there was nothing new, simply what the scripture says, God is Love.

God bless:)

You have to understand that maybe sometimes people will have prophecy. But not all who claim they did actually speak the whole truth. Some like to exaggerate as to what has happened if anything even happened at all, and I'm a skeptic for when people give their testimonies on the matter for this reason. Especially if they've had best selling books a while back on it, a movie just seems to say that their profits from the books wasn't enough. That's just me, really. Why should we even have to pay for something that would eventually be spoken to us anyway?

Did Jesus have blue eyes? What color was His hair? Was He tall or short, skinny or fat? What color was His skin? Did He have a full head of hair? Or was He balding or bald? Goodness............so many questions..........

I enjoyed the book and the movie was OK. I can't explain what happened to him, or if it's the truth, I hope it is. What I liked was that it got people discussing Jesus and God and Heaven, so maybe it brought a few people to him.
