Hello everyone.

Is anybody experienced dreams where they find themselves flying, soaring high…
Any interpretations or ideas?
Someone from my church told me this morning she had a dream about me and I was flying high above the plane…
I was so surprised that she saw me in her dream and I told her that I keep having flying dreams for awhile now…
It happens often and whenever I dream I can just put my mind to it and I will just take off at will…

Will appreciate some insights

Dreams can be conceptualizations of feelings, so let's say you're drowning in a dream in a torrential downpour, being pulled under, it may reflect a feeling of helplessness. Soaring high and flying might reflect high confidence; you feel like you can do the impossible.

Well, don't get too confident. I had a friend once when I was a kid who watched this commercial that showed these kids flying off after they ate some kind of cereal so he ate a bowl and jumped off his carport roof. He broke his collar bone and had to wear this ridiculous looking splint thing. He looked like he was saluting Hitler.

My dad has had flying dreams from time to time. I've never had one. It's just a dream. Nothing much to interpret. The vast majority of dream interpretation is of the mystical persuasion anyways.

Actually it's just simple psychology. The brain interprets emotions in the creative centre, so imagination and emotion share neural pathways. Dreams are imaginative, thus likely to represent emotion by relating certain conceptualizations based off things in the real world. Tumultuous storms signify tumultuous feelings; confident acts signify confident feelings.

When I was growing up, I used to dream that I was leaping from rooftop to rooftop. I might have been running away from something, but I always made those roofs no matter how far I had to jump. Flying would have been more fun. I now take my dreams and talk to the Lord about them, asking for what meaning they might have. Sometimes insight comes after praying like this. Sometimes not. But at least I open the door for the Lord to give me some thoughts if they are of a meaningful nature.

Job 33:14 ESV

For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it.

God sometimes speaks to us through our dreams. Flying is a positive dream. It can mean that you will soar high very soon. Success is on your way or your long time dream will come true. I had a very vivid flying dream before and then after a while blessings came.

While I was flying on a plane I had a dream once. Does that mean anything? I guess my blessing was that the plane did not crash.

I used to have dreams of seeing waves of water running after….I would be walking along the beach and suddenly the waves will come at me… I will run and run…sometimes after every dreams I noticed some disappointing event will always happen. and I felt like something terrible will be after me... one day, I was walking along the beach and the waves started roaring…the tide was so high this time above my head, when I started running, I saw the sand too this time rose high, so I was blocked in between…that's when I remembered in the dreams I was a christian…I started praying the Lord to help and someone came over the hedge of the sand, looked down, and pulled me up…I never had a water dream again. I was young…10 years after those dreams, I know the meaning of theses dreams now…it was the story of my life to come...

I do give some significance to dreams…sometimes I know when not to bother with them, sometimes there is an understanding …so I do need to pray about them…
I just thought I d ask some insights...

thanks for your inputs...

I have those dreams.

Soaring through the skies, feelings through your face, flashing through your eyes.
Flying we fly, soaring in the sky, reaching to the highest sky,
Trying to escape this life, we fly, so high, this dream, we fly.

I flew, saw myself fly.

Fly away,

Fly into the sky.

To the heavens, this dream, is to test, our wings,

For one day, we fly, as if we know all along,

We were meant to fly high to the heavens, into the sky.

There are some dreams that are common to many people. So common in fact that experts have traced what (they think) the dreams mean.

If you dream you are flying and you can fly anywhere, you are very optimistic about life.

If you dream you are flying but you can't control where you fly, you are cautiously optimistic about life.

If you dream your teeth are rotting and falling out it means you feel your life is falling apart.

If you dream you need to use the bathroom you feel pressure about something in life. Or you may really need to go pee. Or you may already have.

Although it is possible to use this common dreams stuff to mess with people...

"And it says if you dream about your teeth falling out it means the brain worms are spreading."

Well said Lynx :)

A lot of dream interpretation is snake oil.
