That's true, as I"m sure many by now have seen this film, everyone knows that there was no frontal nudity, (although they were somewhat scantily clad), but there was nudity. I specifically remember one of the main female avatar characters walking away and as the tail would move, there was a clear view of rear nudity, though brief.

The movie was entertaining, technologically advanced, and seeing it in 3D, certainly enhanced the experience, but there was nudity, as at least one other individual in this thread agreed.

wwjd_kilden, I know that you may personally have no problem with nudity in films. I gathered that from what you said in your earlier post " what is so wrong with nakedness?" , and perhaps this is the view of all women on this subject, but some view gratuitous nudity as a problem, not only in movie productions, but on television as well.

Video game characters, cartoons, and even commercials, are taking more risks as they try to create sexier characters, appealing to the publics appreciation for these things. Granted, the Avatar movie is not one of the best examples of gratuitious nudity.

As a prank one individual's siblings thought it humerous to catch their brother in an act of masturbation while viewing the female characters of a particular video game. They then published the video on the internet.

This may sound like an isolated incident, but these temptations are no longer limited to grown men, but to children, who are being lulled into adopting all of this as completely normal.

well that is true, but it just annoys me that people are so h.... that we can't show any flesh anymore... to me a tush is a tush... and that's it (but then I've been washing adults peoples rear mirrors, so I'm kinda used to them...

and of course movies follow the trend, they wanna make money *sigh*

That's the great danger. We slowly start to accept more and more things, without realising it's not good. I agree that any nudity should be banned. Don't see any argument pro, see many against in the Bible... @Astrid: You're a girl. Girls have less problems with nudity (I think). Guys (or at least I) have to be very carefull with that.

Walking in your bra in the presence of your neighbour sounds very weird to me (for me out of the question). Waay to much flesh. I see it more as a thing between man and wife. I already have problems with girls in bikini's...

But as I said before, that's my opinion, and I know I'm not always right. In the end, we're not to judge each other, but to look at ourselves. And I admit that it's easy to judge others on showing too much flesh, instead of working on my own character. So please forgive me if I hurt anyone with my opinion, just look at it as sharing my experience.
