Hi thank you all for the quick responses, wow! Looks like I have come to the right place.. Well what is really bothering me and is frustrating me a little, I know I probably shouldn't be frustrated, but have any of you come to a place as a Christian and wondered if you are going in the right direction spiritually? How do you know this is where you are suppose to be going? Am I looking for his answers in the wrong place? Or am I looking too hard?

Welcome Sammybots29 to CC. I became a single mom when my kids were 4,5 and 9. I learnt how to juggle work, my kids, running my home simply by resting in Christ. He became my healer, my redeemer, the restorer of my soul. Spending time resting in Him helped me to focus and prioritise. I learnt to love myself more ( not beat myself up if I messed the day up!) Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (those that don't wont). I would pray asking God would restore anything I messed up, I took each day as it came and I have to say thoroughly enjoyed those years as my kids grew! Biggest thing is to really trust Him. He wants us to enter His rest, trusting He is working for our good, that he has good plans for us and that he really does love us UNconditionaly. Those truths are life changing once accepted and believed. Try not to over think things but trust in His love for you. Blessings

First off, hello and welcome to Christian Chat. I hope you enjoy the site and I hope you decide to stay a while with us. I think most all of us from time to time contemplate and meditate on where we are in our Christian walk with God and where we should be headed. You're not alone in that certainly. I study my Bible and meditate on it and pray to God for direction. If you do that God will certainly give you direction. He will hear your voice. He will guide your path. I'm happy you came here because the questions and thoughts that you pose are ones that we discuss all the time on the site so I know you'll find it very helpful to you. God bless you. :)

In light of everything that is going on these days, a lot of us are asking those same questions. We sense in our Spirits that something is happening and that time is getting shorter. We are like the 10 virgins that senses our Bridegroom cometh and we want to get our lamps filled and our wicks trimmed. (Matt 25:1)

God told me in a dream to take it back to the foundation, that there were some loose stones I needed to attend to. Still seeking full understanding on that.

I would like to start a thread here.

Question: Have you ever heard that small quiet voice (Holy Spirit) speak to you in the quiet of the night and really have the peace in you to listen carefully to what is being given to you? I often hear that voice at night when I am at peace I hear Him and feel Him, He surrounds me with such comfort at times when my world is soooo chaotic. I ask how do you get to your peaceful place? It is hard for me sometimes with all that I see in this world to really be at peace. So I reach for something unseen to the eye but seen by my spirit that confesses I am a child of God, wonderful thought. I know He is with me, protecting me from all the evil and deceit in the world around me but sometimes I do get lonely for there to just be peace around me. I don't mean to ramble on, I just want to talk about that quiet still voice in our heads. God bless you all and may His spirit surround you with comfort and peace.

Yes please that is more to the point that I was getting at, I am new to this, how do we know its his voice and not our own thoughts?
