I'm.new at Christian chat. I had a baby and suffered depression. I quit my work and has been desperately trying to find work for months. I've been praying to god but I haven't really felt him lately. I'm far from perfect and I'm a sinner. I'm looking for a Christian community for support

I have been praying to god that he may change my heart to follow his will but Im still weak. I have countless of rejections aND it's so hard. I have been used to helping my family and it changed my life. Now that I can't help my family I feel like I lost my purpose

Hello GC10, I have also been through a lot in the last 2 years and have been struggling to get my life back on track. I try every morning to realize how much worse things could be. It's hard when you are going through depression to see the light at the end of the tunnel but if you would like you could talk to people who can lift you up. Maybe you are in the right place. Keep your head up and thank God for all that you do have.

Welcome young sister.....congradulations on your new baby......you do know that God does hear you.....
He knows and He is arranging things in your life to line up with His Plan for you......this can be a sad time....
OR......this can be an opportunity to build your faith.....trust that even though things dont seem to be working
out.....doesnt mean its not happening.....this is how we build faith.....the more faith I gather the less l fear when
I see trials heading my way......I can continue His work and move forward knowing I have nothing to fear.....
He is taking care of this.....enjoy this time with your baby....because when God does allow you to work.....
you will be happy because you will miss your baby when you are at work....I have an idea for a job for you...

Welcome. I am sorry to hear your plight. Have you met and spoken with your doctor? Post partum depression is common and there are many possible treatments. God is great for the soul and spirit, doctors are good at healing the body. Doctors to the work of God on earth every day.

Thanks for your advice. It took me a while to realize that I had postpartum. Im very thankful that I was able to moved on. However I lost my job and I'm I've been applying unsuccessfully. I'm so worried about providing for my baby and my family. I've been praying to god.to help.change my heart so I can surrender my search to him. It's becoming harder as more rejections and bills pile up. God has always been good to me and my family and I don't want to be led astray because of the situation I'm into. I will continue to pray.

Thanks everyone. Today I will find out what the result is from my other interview. They have an internal candidate and I know I shouldn't keep my hopes up. Praying to god to protect my heart and keep me strong as I face this news today.
