This has been going on as one thing in my mind finding a person that believes in Christ when looking for a partner should I try to look for a person that's trying to get right with Christ are already a believer I feel like that should be the right thing to do.I feel like if not finding a person that is there attitude of not caring about Christ will come on to me when I'm trying to get right and also I feel like God is pulling me into another direction I'm a sport player good enough to at least get picked up from a college in football are in basketball but lately I have the feeling of making Christian rap and make it big and share and at least try to change people life's with something that is fun I dont even care about money because I was once told that money is one of the roots of evil I don't know if God is trying to use me for that cause (P.S the people on here are the best and helps me out so much on keeping my mind on following God and sharing wisdom thank you guys/girls) :)

welcome to these forums -- i hope you are able to make use of all the talents God has given you, not burying any of them in the dirt like the bad servant in the parable.

keep putting your trust in God and relying on His understanding instead of our own :)

it's good to hear you think about these things, even if i can't answer them or you can't see the right way yet, God knows - trust Him!

Yup. Those who love money like to sit on lots of it. Why do all these celebrities/Heirs have to store up millions of dollars? What do you need all that money for? The bible says that we should store our riches in heaven. That is not to say that we shouldn't have our basic needs met but abundance comes from the Kingdom alone. I pray the Lord will bless your ministry Maurice. If you want to rap, pray on it, and seek the Lords voice and He will reveal where you should go to spread his message.

Pray and let the Lord guide you. He will find the right partner for you. I personally don't enjoy rap music but if that's the direction that God has for you just make certain that it's Christian rap music. The above posters are absolutely right in that money in itself is not evil, it's the love of money that is evil. I would like to welcome you to Christian Chat and I hope you enjoy yourself here. There is no hurry finding a partner (you're not very old, are you?). But I would look for a lady who is a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ.

Actually, I don’t think it’s money that is the root of all evil – it’s LOVE of money:

For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs. 1 Timothy 6:10 RSV

You're welcome here. I truly believe that which ever way you go God can use you in that. And that you will end up doing exactly what He wants you to do. Because nothing can stand in the way of his plan for you.
