Hi, I'm Gerlinde, and I live in Berlin, capital of Germany. I work in an office to help physically challenged people to know in Berlin, where they can go. I used the Mormons, where I was excommunicated in 1992 because of transsexuality. I am interested in religion, but would like to join any church. Not only because of my negative experiences with the Mormons, but also because of the experience of churches after the excommunication. For this purpose, I may be able to say something more later. I like writing, have also published articles and short stories (unfortunately all in German), and currently writing my first screenplay. Therein it is important that we all have secrets, and how we handle it when a secret is out.

Hello and welcome to CC.. I hope you enjoy your time here. :) For the record, keeping secrets is a very bad practice..all things come to light eventually..no secret is hidden from God.. :)

That's true, and my story is about that. But also important is, how people react, if they know the truth. For example: If my doc would tell me, that I would have breast cancer, and I would hide it from family and friend, because of my fear, that they would react differently than before, and the fact came out, and they would react different, wasn't my fear justified? Or another example: If a great soccer player has fear to lost everything, because he isn't straight, and after his outing someone killed him, because of this, was it better to hide, or to tell the truth?

As a former transsexual, I often visit a group of Christians, who are open for LGBT folks.

No, it is about hidden truths and how different people handle with that. For example: One person hide, that she is a woman, trapped in a males body, feel as a man, want to be gay. Everyone thought, that she was gay. The truth comes out, and she lost her job as a teacher and in her JW congregation.

Welcome to the site, Gerlinde. I am a writer myself. (though mostly unpublished). I'm sorry you've had such horrible experiences with churches, but I hope you can come to know the God who is perfect even when people are not. Feel free to message me if you ever feel the need or want to chat about anything. :)

Why not? Because I (still) am not a Christian? Or because I was transsexual, was born with a male body and a female soul?
What is your problem?

Nice to meet you here. Did you write short stories, novels or poems?

"to the best of my knowledge i did not what i knew of consider you a girl."
after i now might have been made aware of a statement yours of your soul, "anyhow, what do i know."
looks to me just here you're more loved by Our Dearest Christ, Sweetest, than this.
"my problem was death and hell," or some beast, so, or such.
Christ Throws Away :p

Do you know what it means to be a transsexual? What pain, self-doubt and self-hatred must be overcome? How many transsexual people commit suicide, especially if they are believers? How many transgender youth are homeless because the parents do not bear a transsexual child? How many transsexual people beaten, raped and murdered? From those same people who claim to believe in God, but forget the golden rule?
My former transsexualism is well documented. My two reviewers have my ex-wife, my children, my sister (over the phone), and asked my employer. Both reviewers were renowned psychiatrist one even had a dual title of professor. There were pictures of me at the age of four years, and it was not carnival, where I wore female clothing. There was the report of a pediatrician who examined me at the age of six years, and found that my penis was underdeveloped (almost like a clitoris). My documents have been altered Leagal, my penis is gone, and a vagina is there now exists. My hormone balance is a biological woman. I could if I wanted to, even marry a man, or adopt a child. But what I will not.

It took me thirty years to realize and accept who I am. Because of the TS I lost everything. The Mormons that I loved so much, my children that meant everything to me, my marriage, after that I could most easily do without (we had for many years, nothing more to say), and I lost my job by a Mormon. If it had been just a "choice", do you think I would be so masochistic to make that choice?
In a musical called a song "I am what I am, and what I am needs no excuses."
God has made me so! And since God does not produce trash, he has to have a reason for it.
BTW, we ALL need Jesus, and, what he have had teach to the people:

[h=3]Matthew 7:1-5 ESV[/h] “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

[h=3]Luke 6:37 ESV[/h] “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;

All of the above plus plays. Though mostly it's novels and plays. Poems it's only occasionally and short stories tend to turn long for me XD
