new here and have never been in any chat rooms or on forums

Hello, my name is Morgan, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me in here! I dont know yet how to navigate through here yet!

Can someone tell me how I can know or find where someone is on here when I am to chat with?

This site said live 24/7 and I am a night person so I thought I might see something going on here even though it is 5:47am here lol, but I cant seem to find anyone!

Any help would be much welcomed and greatly appreciated!!

I'm also not sure of what some of the icons mean, or what a tag is or used for!

​not quite sure myself what tags are..lol.. do you mean the icons in the reply boxes? The star at the bottom right of the box is to give another user reputation..the triangle with the ! in it is to report an inappropriate post.

If you are into typing there are those of us who can be night owls - sleeping issues, and then there are those from other countries when our night is their day so you can type away most any time and find someone up.

I found that making friends helps in the navigation part of things because as they post it will come on your chat profile page and you can see where they are and join in the chat that way also. Me being almost 60 I am not so much into the live chat and like the typing chat better.

Welcome to CC and don't let some of the rough responses get to you as we have and are all kinds of personalities here on the site. There are some lovely folks here you just have to sort them out of the laundry basket called life....Nice to meet you and friend request already sent your way.

Would like to add the Singles Forum seems to be a little more fun and not so argumentative.....you might check that out.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I do not have adobe flash and cannot use the actual chat rooms.

I was hoping to be able to carry on conversations in like manner, as opposed to not knowing if I'll have an immediate reply, or have to wait a long duration for one!

Is there a place or way of knowing when or where people are posting to, I guess threads? Does the term "thread" just mean a place where you post?

I'm sorry but this is all very new to me lol!

​Morgan, go to the top of this page, just above where post #1 is.. You will see some options.. Linkback, thread tools, search thread, etc.. Click on "thread tools" and click "subscribe to this thread." You will then receive an email alert each time someone posts on this thread. :)

I am looking fwd to getting to know people on here!

Unfortunately, I am not on a cmp, I have only my mobile phone to use lol, so typing is a lot slower for me as well as very prone to mispellings so I do apologize!

It might take me a while but I'm sure eventually I'll figure out things on here!

I dont see any if those options, mabe because Im on a mobile phone?

but on a different screen there is a little blue box checked saying "subscribed to this thread"

On a side note Lady Blue I really like your Christmas Cat so much better than the hairball hocking cat....lol You know whut I am talking about.....Still want to take the Whut? kitty away he is too cute too....lol

Morgan again welcome to the site this Blond must go run take a shower to get ready for church. Look forward to chatting more with you in the future. Up at top of page to Chat Rooms & Forums and there are choices of different forum to paruse Misc Forum can be fun too. There is a Prayer one and Family one all kinds of Forums, careful in the Bible Discussion Forum as it can get rough there. I have been here a little over a year and it has been a slice of fun.....and other things.... I must like the torture as I am still here..... Have fun exploring the site....
