hi there I recently became a born again Christian I am new here to this but you will have to forgive me if I take a while to reply as I have no broadband until the end of the month so I have no steady connection at the moment. My name is Laura I live in a town called Thurso in Caithness far north of Scotland it would be lovely to speak to people who are in my area or near me eg. Wick , Inverness etc some in Scotland in the UK.

Welcome to the site! There's quite a few people here from Scotland I think, not sure what exact areas, but I hope you make lots of good connections here. :)

Hi Laura, welcome to the family of God at CC. Wow, I always loved Scotland and would certainly enjoy any photos you may have of your beloved country. :D

I pray you enjoy the fellowship here and hope you find many godly friends! Grace & peace to you in Christ Jesus! :)

Hi Laura!
This is horribly selfish, but you wouldn't happen to know and want to teach me Scot's Gaelic, perchance, would you?
I'm a lover of language, and my family is (long ago) from Scotland, and so is my best friend's. I just talked to him a couple days ago about going to Caithness for his Clan gathering there if we could ever afford it ;-)
Anyway, welcome and hello, and pleased to 'meet' you! :)

hi Laura. I am so thrilled to read your post .. you dont know how much. I do not live in the UK, but have been to Thurso and environs several times. I absolutely adore Scotland and am hoping you are willing to accept me as a contact even tho I am not living there. I was saved years ago, wandered away from my Lord, and rerurned to Him in 2001. Now my husband and I live on a boat, trying to fulfill my calling as a missionary pastor. - long story. I sincerely hope & pray you will respond to me when you are able. Thank you and may God bless you richly.
