I am new to the website. I don't know what else to do. One bad thing after another, I can't seem to get through one day without the world coming down around me. :(

As we go through trials that seem endless ....understand that they are a temporary condition...
you can find peace in knowing God is already working on this for you......learn the lessons you can for each situation....thank God for being there.....He will lead you through.....through trials brings wisdom......Gods Word tells us there will be trials........we can use these trials for faith building....

I feel like a complete failure at life. I want a better relationship with God and I don't the first way to go about it. Everyone makes it sound so easy, so why am I having such a hard time letting life get to me and make me overwhelmed?

Trials and tribulations will come, one who is known to others as a fair weather Christian are ones that turn away as soon as diverse trials come upon them, they think the Christian life is nothing but joyous. Christ suffered and so will we. There will also be happiness in our lives but we will face difficult challenges, so don't give in. It will be all worth it in the end. Take a look at the psalms for instance, they are not all positive in meaning, although through it all they still praise God. The fair weather Christian is also depicted in the parable of the Sower which is on thorny grounds, or maybe stony grounds which do not progress or are choked out of it.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm tired of being judged by other "Christians". I don't understand why people like to use other words to describe a type of Christian in front of the word, Christian. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Whether being called a "baby Christian", because you're walk with God hasn't been the last 20 years or so or being called a "fair weather Christian" simply because just like any other human you get overwhelmed and sad by life.

I understand sis. First welcome! Today is my first day as well. To answer that question I believe we do it probably because Jesus actually gave a label to certain types of believers, he called them "Luke warm" that would be what we call "middle of the road Christian. I understand how u feel but try not to be offended. Let me ask a question, it seems as If you struggle with particular things about being a Christian like "hard real life" type stuff. What gets you down the most? Feel free to inbox me if you prefer. Again welcome

There are many understanding and compassionate residents that will be more than happy to listen to you and offer you words of encouragement and a sense of peace and comfort from the Lord. My world crashed too a year ago and God is has slowly been picking up the pieces and has given me His blessed assured hope that things are going to get much better. I pray that He offers you this same type of hope. Welcome to CC.

That's quite an introduction. You'll find a lot of people with a lot of hardship here, msalwayswrong; perhaps you can find people to relate to that will help you along your struggles.

Well i definitely understand those. Im in some pretty tough situations myself. Is it the fact that you feel like a failure at all of these or everything you try just seems to fall to the ground? (there is a difference between the two)
