The biggest Christian publishing companies are:

1. Zondervan: Zondervan

2. Tyndale: Tyndale House Publishers - Christian Fiction, Nonfiction, Children's Books and Bibles

3. Baker Publishing: Homepage | Baker Publishing Group

with the American Bible Society drawing honorable mention: American Bible Society

Many other smaller entities exist as well: Category:Christian publishing companies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I suggest you use the contact forms for each of the big three and ask them directly for their recommendations. They have a wealth of resources for those two subjects.

You can then check your public library and see which are available and for those that aren't I have found ebay, amazon, etc... helpful.

Welcome! Good question. A thread in one of the other forums might drum up even more results, but happy hunting! I just wanted to drop by to welcome you :)

G'day & welcome

I'm sure you'll find plenty of places on CC to increase your knowledge.

The Bible is the best book though, start there & listen & read widely but most importantly list to The Lord & trust what you hear

God bless

Amen
