lost

Hi I'm riversong, I am in my 20s and I am not sure what faith I am. If any... I'm lost though. And not sure where to go or start. I struggle severely with self injury and depression for several years now. Since I was 13. I'm suicidal sometimes and I don't want to be but the feelings get the better of me and I have to fight myself to stop myself. I'm scared and lost and alone and I didn't have any idea where else to go online....

Hi, riversong. I'm sorry you are dealing with this type of stuff, depression is no joke but understand that depression is a spirit and is NOT of God Almighty. One of my favorite passages in scripture is Matt 11:28 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.".

Come before God with a willing and earnest heart. Jesus can and WILL deliver you from all this if you receive His gift of salvation and give it all to Him. Just ask Him! <3 He is just and merciful, trust me as I came to learn this through a couple of hard lessons. I could never do it on my own (as hard as I tried), but as soon as I recognized that I needed Jesus to do it for me and gave it all to Him, it was like a huge weight was lifted from my chest. His love is never-ending for YOU! There is hope, riversong! I'm glad you came here.

Until recently I also felt lost, I couldn't imagine what I wanted out of life. I began by talking to God. Crying, asking for direction. I have found some clarity. I'm here if you need it.
