Something Strange happened, Also, new here!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Bryan and it is an absolute pleasure to meet you all! Google led me here, let me tell you what happened right before finding this place:

So I was watching Passion Conference 2015 on youtube. After the awesome music, and the sermon the pastor invited everyone who hadn't accepted jesus as their savor to do so along with a few words. I have no idea what happened but I started crying like a 5 year old girl. I started asking for forgiveness and asked jesus to come into my life. So here I was, in my room all alone and crying for a good 15-20 minutes (no exaggeration). I am still completely awestruck as to what happened... I've been a christian for years which made everything that much more surpirsing.

So yup, here I am. I guess I just had to talk to someone and what better place than a christian forum!!

There is a song "just one touch of th King changes everything" and it is absolutely correct.

Just out of interest had you ever asked for forgiveness and accepted Jesus as saviour before or was this the first time?

I accepted Jesus around the age of 11 but had an amazing encounter with God around the age of 12 (my testimony is in the testimony forum). Since then there has been many such moments. It feels like it's just you and God and nothing else matters doesn't it.

We worship an awesome God who delights in revealing himself and it sounds like you had such an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
Meditate on this over the coming weeks, prayer, read the bible , tell another person about it, maybe a relative or friend or maybe a church pastor. Don't let it slip away from you but rather let it be a stepping stone in your relationship with your heavenly father. For he is far more willing to draw close to us than we are willing to go to him.

And don't forget to thank him along the way.

Thank you for your testimony and I will pray for you that God will direct your path and that this is only just the beginning for you.

To answer your question, yes I had. Thinking about it, can one ever accept Jesus into their life too many times though? Haha!

I will admit howver that I have always struggled a bit. What happened clearly happened because I was starting to put a little bit too much distance between me and god (whether I realized it or not). With everyday life being so hectic its hard to have that "just you and god" mindset wouldnt you say? (As you can see, I have taken your advice and have already started to meditate on it).
