I read somewhere in the bible that hope deferred makes the heart sick. I am not sure if this is applicable to your question. Obviously, there are people willing to wait as you seem to be one of them. Actually, there are quite a few celibate and proud residents in this community.

Personally, I do feel that it is worth waiting for but unfortunately, I do not speak from experience but from observation.

Welcome to CC.

I know all about divorce. My first marriage in 1979 lasted 6 1/2 years and was a total disaster. BTW, she was not worth waiting for.

Lady36, We always want to encourage people to share, It is good you have set the example..smile! God bless you and welcome. I have that redo attitude too, I have three kids and I am having to reboot my software , as it were. But it is good to have you in a safe place to gather yourself and gain love and encouragement from fellow Christians, the brothers and sisters in Christ are a blessing.. So welcome feel free to ask any questions you may have. And we have a divorce and separated group going too so check out all the variety of options here. Young adults etc etc..
