It's an old tradition, OP that God likes to work through men and women. There were women prophets, too in the Old Testament.

Christians have the Spirit of God in them but sometimes the Spirit of God rests upon a man if he has found favor with God.

That is when God can use the man or prophet like a pen to pen scripture or he can use a person to preach through.

Read up on the topic of Hearing God's Voice,

Virkler has a summary of his book on this online...It is called Four Keys to Hearing God's Voice.

I believe there are two crucial states you have to be in for God to use you as a prophet.

First is dedicated and consecrated.

Second is fully surrendered.

Google Andrew Murray's Absolute Surrender....it is free online at Ccel.org

A lot of Christians aren't aware of the significance of absolute surrender....but God wants us to be wholly His in His service.

k<<(edit in)p.s. just read some of the other posts, didn't see the right answer from GOD'S WORD so far.>>

the answer is plain and simple enough for a little child,

right in scripture, GOD'S WORD, in jesus' own words.

read the NT starting with MARK, then LUKE, then JOHN, then MATTHEW ,

then ACTS and the rest of the NT.

before you get to MATTHEW, you will have the answer from GOD'S WORD.

If you know and love Jesus the please help me to understand about his reasoning. Why did Jesus have all 12 of his disciples write about his ministry according to their own perception but never write a single word himself. I'd like to rule out that he was to busy or that he couldn't read or write himself. I personally can't believe either of those two answers.

yes, again. just read all the answers. some might have been partly right, but all missed the mark.

find the answer as i posted. then all will be in agreement (yes -- everyone will agree). or they'd have a very very hard time why they disagree with what JESUS HIMSELF SAYS.

Hello Cloud . I'm sorry. I have not read the Bible. There is a reason why. I have a learning disability. I'm dyslexic. It's very saviour in me. Obliously I can read and write with the help of spell check. If not for spell check I wouldn't be able to talk on here at all. I have a very high level IQ to offset my disability. If I heir, see something do in person, or think about something I read I can retain it. If I just read anything and there is nothing to think about it just turns into a jumbled up mess. God has made it so that I must think for myself to learn. I've been thinking about this question ever since I fully submitted my self to God 33 years ago. Right after I did that I attempted to read the Bible. Everyday for almost a year. I could not remember a word of what I read the next day. Like I said it is a savior disability.

Did your mother run the house you grew up in and not your father?

can you use biblegateway audio ? you can go to biblegateway dot come , and find the link to the audio reading,
and let the scripture be read out loud all day long if you like (if your computer system and server and area allows it, or if GOD provides and allows it may be better way to say it)..

by the way,

JESUS did all that the FATHER said to do. if the FATHER said write, HE wrote. when the FATHER didn't say "write", HE didn't write.

same with the disciples -- they did not write what JESUS said to write, but what the FATHER SAID , and not their opinions, but as the FATHER gave them to speak or to write, they did. (and FATHER corrected if they ever got anything out of order)

p.s dyslexia is much more common, even in healthy people, than thought usually.

taking (if tolerated) a spoonful of applecidervinegar, organic, unfiltered, mixed in a glass of distilled water with a spoonful of honey(local or not), twice or three times a day for about 12 weeks
won't hurt anything.

I am sorry to hear that but you are loved by God, Michael65

Sometimes dyslexia is caused by a spirit.....the deaf and dumb spirit and it oftentimes comes with spiritual disorder in the home.

This is what you do.

You go on a veggie and water fast like the prophet Daniel and pray during it.

Also you have someone locate Everett Cox at Deliverance Ministries.org. Cox is online so you can do an online deliverance.

Cox will teach you how to cast that deaf and dumb spirit out along with any others troubling you.

You are loved by God and I am going to fast and pray with you for the next two days.

I will go to the organic store and buy some vegetable juice to start the fast.....It could take longer than 2 days but we can fast longer. We want to get you healed.

Hey Jeff 56. Your last paragraph suggested that these men who wrote in the Bible had no will of their own. Did God not give us a gift that sets us apart from the angles. The gift of free will. Are you saying these men had no will of their own. Their words are God's own words. That God wrote about God. That would take away from Jesus's credibility. It would mean that he did write about himself by himself through these men. I hope I am not being unclear here. Every word they spoke is true. I would not ever question that. What I am saying is that these men were men. Just like you and I. They had the same free will. The same emotions. The same desire to please God. The same desire to share Jesus's work with others. I do already understand their perspective of Jesus and his ministry. I want to understand Jesus better. I would think we should all want that!!!

Michael65, the Apostles were living testaments to God....they were all willing to die for Jesus because they witnessed and knew who he was.

Their willingness to be martyred was a testimony about who Jesus was.

People aren't usually willing to die for things they don't believe to be true.

And they lived 3 years with Jesus night and day so they knew he was real.

Welcome to CC!

When did you become a Christian? Please share how you came to that decision. Was there a particular Word in the Bible that opened your eyes to the Truth?

What awesome thing has the Lord put on your heart since your life has been made new? Do you attend church? And have you spoken to the pastor?

I'm very, very interested in hearing your testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ in your life. Praise His Name! Thank you for sharing.

Well Michael65 I am going to the store now to get the veggie juice.

Remember what I said....You fast and pray too.

Jesus said the deaf and dumb spirit only comes out from fasting and prayer. Then look up Everett Cox. He even has an online phone number: (405) 842-5509 and teaches people to cast out demons.

."When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.". Mark 9:25

No meat do you hear me?

No meat for two days. Take a multivitamin if you need to.

Hello Violetraigns. Thank you for joining the convention. I first started attending church 9 years of age. I learned most of what I know about Jesus,God, and the Bible from Sunday school. I was 12 years old when I first excepted Jesus as my savior. I was baptized almost a year latter. I didn't feel any different at the time. 4 years latter something terrible happened to my younger brother Matt. He accidentally burnt down a run down old building. I had fought him to play with fire. He was arrested and sentience to 5 years in juvenile prision. I felt it was my fault. Still feel that way about it. As his eldest brother with no real father to look up to he looked to me for guidence. I had lead him astray. It was late in the afternoon in a Sunday. We had just gotten home from church my other brother and 3 sisters. My mother told us what had happened. I ran out of the house to the back yard. Were I knew no one could see me. There were trees that hide me from sight. I got down on my knees as I cried and said a prayer to God. I first told God that this is my falt no one is more to blame then I. I deserve to be burnished for what done. I ask God to do as God wishes in punishing me. Then I ask God to help me not to make such a tarible mistake ever again. I asked God to guide me and teach me to be the person God wishes me to become.I told God that my step father is a bad person. I asked God to help me to not become like him. I said to God that I did not want to have children of my own. I told God that I wanted to be a good step father to children that need a good father. Then I asked God why there is so little of Jedus, his ministry, and what he had to teach us. I told God I really needed a father to teach me and to guide me.. Then I got up and wiped away the teirs and tried very hard to read a learn the Bible. I already told everyone how that turned out. Lol. Thanks for asking. Can I ask you the same question. Ow and God did indeed punish me and also has been guiding me ever since. Sometimes it was more then I could handle. During those times God let me rest until I could take more. I thought it would never end. The punishment. The learning I hppe never will.

Michael65 you need to learn to avoid Satan's Guilt Trip Trap. When you truly repent and feel contrite in your heart or if you ask for forgiveness Jesus immediately forgives and you give those sins over to him.

Whatever happened in the past is over and done with. Besides you were rather young yourself and you had no way of knowing your brother would burn a building down. You're not God and you can't predict the future so for all these reasons you have to release the guilt and know for a fact that Jesus has handled it.

Are you ready to try the fast first thing tomorrow when you get up?
