Ata marie e te whānau a te Karaiti (Morning blessings to Christ's family)

Peace be unto you all.

What amazing times we are living in today. We don't have to take the best of our livestock to the local outer court as sacrificial submissions for sins. We don't have to spend time out of our homes and communities, awaiting spritual renewal of mind/body or spirit caused by uncleanliness. Everything in our modern lives are at the tips of our fingers... Yet somehow, I still find myself surprisingly aggravated when my internet (on rare occasions), clamps out. When my mobile dislodges contacts, for whatever reason, I have smirked at the thought of writing out my contacts details by hand.

How is it that I can so easily read the wicked times in the OT, the hardships and oppression of the masses, and yet still be so separated by what I find hard about today? We are living in times that even the angels longed to see. I live with the privilledge of being able to communicate with people on the other side of the globe, yet I have not attempted to speak to or find common ground with my neighbour who seems a rather nice person.

So today, I just want to be grateful Lord for all that you provide for me. For this wonderful life. For the times you have chosen for me to live in. I thank you for freedom, for the safety and security of my neighbourhood, my town and my country. I thank you for the places you have given me to share your word, for those who you have sent me to minister to. I thank you Lord for all the people in my life, and those who are yet to come.

I thank you for this forum which will help me to grow in the knowledge of you, with my brothers and sisters in Chirst, who have humbly asked that they be sent, to make you known to others.

Amen.

Amen amen. Well said, sister. There's always going to be dark times, but that doesn't mean we can't be grateful for the good things. I hope you have a great experience here :)
