I am pretty sure I was saved as a kid and love John 3:16. I however think God has forgotten me and I have doen too much in life and not repented of it all maybe and so God does not love me anymore. I am afraid to ask Jesus to forgive me like John 3:16 again as I do not want to place the Lord upon the cross again! What can I do to know for sure I ma saved as I do not truly Know. I read my bible always and have most of my life. I am so lost. Is there anyone who care in here to help me?

I've learned to overcome the devil in hatred and have just separated from my wife and it was not unfaithful in reason. I however forgive her for leaving. I do my best to be good and I know works do not get you anywhere into paradise but how do I know for sure I am saved as I never felt anything in life but had solid belief until now.

If you were saved once, no need to put Christ back on the cross. You can't crucify Christ again. But you can be a prodigal son and come back to where you once were.

As far as 'doing my best to be good', God views our good works 'as filthy rags'. We are not saved by what we do but by God's grace, this is His mercy on us, that we don't earn or deserve.

Knowing God isn't about what we feel. Feelings are misleading. Knowing God is more of having faith, believing in what we know, even if we can't see it. If you were saved as a teen, then just come back, as a prodigal son, and start trusting, even if you don't see the evidence. The evidence will show up over time.

Well I think you know God is on your side right, It's not just to avoid the penalty of death eternal, but Gods Character is that He loves you, enough in fact that He wants you to have life thru His Son Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth , and the life. The only way to Salvation. John 10:10 and John 3:16 tells us God wants us to have not only eternal life with Him, but also full, Abundant life here as well. The problem tho is we all have a problem from birth:

Romans 3:23 tells us, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
*So, we are all sinners.

second Hebrews 9:27 tells us, "Just as mortals are appointed to die once and then to experience a Judgement."
*We face Gods Judgement.

*And the Word tells us "death" is Sin"s outcome: in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal life thru Christ Jesus our Lord.

* So we cannot, by works, earn Salvation in anyway .. Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through Faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast."

So we all have this Eternal Death dilemma, And we know God wants us to prosper and not be harmed, so His answer is Jesus Christ. And God's and Jesus Christ's agreement with Him for our victory over the sentence of Death over sin was to die on a cross and render Sin powerless, if we remain in Him. God thru Jesus in us then has adopted us into His Kingdom, by shear confession of our sin , agreeing with Gods plan of Jesus, and surrender our right to our old self and receiving the new self Christ puts in us.

1 Peter 3:18 says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates HIs own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

So, you can be saved thru Christ. But what is our response to this right?!!

John 1:12 says, "Yet, to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become Children of God."

*So we need to believe what He is saying about Himself thru His Word, and receive Him, or lay down your will next to His, thru unconditional surrender and obedience, in mind, body, and soul.

Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED."

* So Believe, Receive, and Confess....That's it! It's everything but that's it. Jesus then makes all things new in you, for it is Finished. The old is gone and the new has come, as He step- by- step walks with you changing you into His likeness that before was incapable of accomplishing successfully. Outside of Christ, now we are nothing, but with Him all things are possible. John 5:24 says it best: "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my Word and believes Him who sent Me has Eternal Life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."

Hope this helps you have confidence in the security of your Salvation if you do receive Him unto yourself wholly. And by so doing that receive Gods Eternal life, unabashed by anything that would try and steal it! It is Finished. Any other questions look me up...Dan.

I understand all you spoke of and do have solid belief, yet I find the closer I get to Jesus in my actions the harder the vial one Satan attacks me. I go to my knee's and pray in my war room or closet of prayer and in the end I find goodness and help. Yet, I knock and feel that I am always being attacked now and in mind it is a burden. Yesterday was a hard day with Satan attempting to enter his thoughts into mine and I had a battle going on. Is it true that Satan maybe goes hard after those who do have solid belief and just wants to break down little pieces at a time of their beliefs? For surely I need some form of armor to wear and how to place it upon this body is not known to me. I know salvation and helmet and such but how do you put these things one? Thank you to all who reply and help me in this battle ground. I might be walking thru the valley of the shadow of death but I have no plans on camping here. Amen!

Satan wants you to think you cannot do what Jesus asks for you to do. But Jesus asks nothing of you to do save one thing, surrender to Him and obey Him. His burden is light and His yolk is easy. The yolk is a bridle they put on Oxen, back in the day.You must come to quietly surrender it all to Him. It isn't gaining peace by knowing Him. It is gaining peace by dying to self and being reborn unto Him. He takes care of the rest. And that victory is real, not pretentious. This will not go away, for there is no other way, but to trust in Jesus, as the song goes. No other way to the Father, no other way past Eternal Deaths judgement but to trust and obey, in Christ Jesus the rest of the way.. The gospel is a gift to our poverty, not a triumph to our resources. God will not fix the old you, He has killed it! In order to create in you His life bearing replacement. But you must agree with that fact. For victory comes after faith not before. In the realization that victory is operated from victory not for it.

But do you find victory? This is what Jesus offers over help.

Thank you for yours words and guidance. I know in the end my trust and all such will overcome but until then I sure wish God would just knock a knot on my head so that I know he is listening to my prayers. Amen.
