My fiancé has been having old dreams for days now. We have discussed this and read the bible. Just trying to get clarification on Acts 2:17.

What is the meaning behind this verse? Why would you have dreams regarding things that happened twenty years, in our past?

Acts 2:17
"Young men have visions old men have dreams".

Thanks for your opinion.

Young men have visions because they seemingly have their whole life ahead to accomplish them. Old men realize their best years are behind them and just dream about what could have been if they took a different course or circumstances were different and more favorable. In other words, the old men feel that they missed the boat. Welcome to CC.
