My name is Chuck. I am a new member here. I can't check the forums before or after work because "chat" is not one of the system administrator's approved domain list words.

I'm a doctrinal Christian which might bore some people but the friendships I want should be based on me not wasting my time with God.

Welcome to CC. Yeah, usually work places don't have chat sites accessible to their employees, since you're there to WORK, and not chat online. These are the forums, which are vastly more fun than the chat rooms, IMO.

I can use other chat forums when we aren't working but they ban this forum because their rules are against Chat and instant messaging. They ban a few other things.

We all have what we consider important in our own lives.
I'm not going to spend my time basket weaving in order to make a friend because I feel that there are more important things I can do in my life like living the Christian life. God gives us a commodity called time and I decided if I kept a record of how I spent my time, what would be on it? So if I had seven pieces of paper with twenty four lines for every hour and one paper for each day, how much of things done for God would be on it? How much time would be spent on the word of God and Bible study? How much time would be spent on evangelism? How much time would be spent on Christian projects?

We're going to get rewards in the end and think of it as your 401K. The only rewards we get is based on what we do for God. In view of that, what kind of friends do I want? Is God going to go my way or if I go God's way, will God sometimes go my way? I would like Christian friends but I want those who would like to go God's way. I want some Christian friends who are doing what I'm doing. Do you know I get beat up and bullied by the heathen online and no one sticks up for me? Do you know that I had to buy my own Christian reference library because there are few Christian libraries so that Christians can educate themselves? Where are all the brothers and sisters who could disciple me or help me? I've been a Christian for over 36 years and my mother and grandparents felt strongly about Christian things which I can draw from. I would like other Christian friends whom I can draw from, other people who might want to share in Bible, other Christians or brothers who would like to do that. It isn't just for Church because Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel so as we go into all the world, we are supposed to be teaching and discipling as we go.
