I know not everyone will like everyone else. That's just a consequence of living in a fallen world. However, we are called to spur one another on toward Love and Good deeds, and Encourage one another (Hebrews 10:24-25). So, I hope when we interact with our brothers and sisters in Christ (and those yet to come to saving faith) that we would consider the words of scripture. I want to remind folks that Jesus gave us a clear warning in Matthew 12:36, that "on the day of judgement people will give an account for every careless word they speak" (ESV). With this in mind I want to encourage "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19 NIV). And as my name should remind us "faith, hope, and love remain... But the greatest of these is LOVE!" (I Corinthians 13:13)

You can't be liked by everyone, it will never happen but I want to inspire love and openness among the brethren. Put character and integrity first, that we may be a reflection of Jesus!
"Be an example... Show kindness to unkind people. Forgive people who don't deserve it. Love unconditionally. Your actions always reflect who you are. "

I very much agree with your last sentence. Your true character shows in how you act when there is no one around to see your actions. You are right, we should let God's light show through our thoughts, actions and words.

Tell everyone: me no like you!
They'll all instantly understand it's a joke and roll over the floor laughing.
