I am a new Christian, living in Austin, TX. I have been single for years and am feeling very lonely. I am getting older (even though I don’t feel and look like it), I am too shy and English is not my native language so I am hesitant to attend small groups for singles at churches.. Can anyone suggest me what/where I should try to find Christian friends (both males & females)? Thank you and Blessings.

Their preacher states that Gateway is NOT a church for Pretty People. So, either you will love it, or you may hate being there. (Some people have to have the pomp and circumstance.)

BTW, there are many cultures there.

Welcome to Christian Chat, Meow6308. I think your best bet for finding friends is in a church. People who follow Jesus could care less about whether or not your English is perfect.

Yes, I know in my head that I shouldn't be too worry and shy in Churches. Thank you! :)
