Just started it today. My husband wants a way to chat with me while he is at work on break, etc. and since I did away with FB, I thought I would try this and get to know a few friends in the bargain.

I will miss my friends and far away relatives on there but it has gotten so negative and the news feed is so ridiculous lately it is all I can take. It kept me agitated and wasn't doing me much good.

I always like the European usage of the word 'rubbish'.
I may start using it myself.
"Those arrogant spiritually superior types are such rubbish."

I quite like it too. :) and it's also rubbish that you lost your chat buddy. I've tried using a site similar to this once before but people tended to get irritated with me as I tend to question a lot of Christian topics. But if u don't mind that then I can be a good chat buddy. I'm not too bad at listening ether. :)

Don't mind at all! Ask away :D !
I love the dialogue.
What's bothered me and many others here lately are a select bunch who insist on different forms of works/self righteousness,
which, if they want that for themselves, oh well,
but when they insist on it for others,
putting demands on their salvation,
and teaching it as if it's the Gospel truth, well,
I have very little time for THAT sort of rubbish, lol.
God bless you, though. Ask me anything.
I don't know much.......
But Jesus does! :)

I was raised as a Christian, but unfortunately I have battled with my faith sooooo many times. Losing it, doubting it, getting it back, losing it again. The whole lot. I'm hoping talking to people on here might help me question why it's not strong like it used to be and you never know I might even get it back one day. I've just been through so many tough times for Bout the last 13 years that I'm just doubting everything at the minute and have for a long time. Have you always been a Christian?

Rubbish... I like that word ooh maybe we can use hogwash and bring that into style too:D and coffee lover never feel afraid to ask questions asking questions shows wisdom and a teachable heart both of which are very valuable as a Christian and if we never asked why we never would know why the planets rotate in space or why 4 times 4 is 16 and we would never learn more about God either

I have always believed in God but was not until Christian until about three to almost four years ago. Also something to remember is that it doesn't matter how many times we fall down what matters is if we get back up again this goes for more than just our faith:)

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with asking questions. I have just received a lot of negativity, so I tended to keep my questions to myself. It's probably also contributed to me losing my faith, and through that I feel like I have made some really poor life choices and surrounded myself with people that bring me down. But now I don't know how to get out of the rut I've landed myself in. ??????
