Yes but Jesus told us that we would be judged on the last day by all the Words that he spoke. Jesus did not say on the Words the Old Testament Prophets spoke.
(John 12:47-48) “If anyone hears my words and does not keep them faithfully, it is not I who shall condemn him, since I have come not to condemn the world, but to save the world: he who rejects me and refuses my words has his judge already; the word itself that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.”

So you mean you are not recognizing the old testaments? because Jesus was in the new testaments?
How much Do you know the Bible? Old Testament is the Prophesy and the New Testament is the Fulfillment
and Jesus was also in the Old testament as GOD , THE SON and the Holy Spirit is ONE. ¬

and even Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

and also Jesus said as you have quoted those who hears my words and does not keep them faithfully .....
but He also quoted in his teachings the prophesy of the prophets in the old testaments .

In The New Testaments esp in the 4 Major Gospel ( Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) mentions also what the prophets prophesy showing the proof of the fulfillment of the coming of Jesus as Son of Man.

The Old Testament was about the Old Law. Jesus completed the Old Law. There is nothing in the Old Law that will be used to judge us on the last day.

(Romans 7:4) “That is why you, my brothers, who through the body of Christ are now dead to the Law, can now give yourselves to another husband, to him who rose from the dead to make us productive for God.”

Jesus summed up the Old Law in the following scripture.

(Matthew 22:39-40) “What is the greatest commandment of the Law? Jesus said, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbor us yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law,”

Yes love is a gift from God. To truly love one first has to love God. To love God one has to keep his Commandments. Then one receive love. Doing God’s Will is love.
(1 John 2:6) “But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did”

(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

(John 14:21) “Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me; and anybody who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and show myself to him.”
What bible version are you using? Just wondering.
Also, we love Him because He first loved us.
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. :)

Who, MPW, WHO?! I don't mind pot-stirrers, sometimes, depending on what they're cooking, and sometimes, if they don't mind, I'll bite. It might lead to sharing a good meal. :D

Yes Jesus died for us and loved us when we were sinners, and he had not yet given us his Holy Spirit to make it possible for us to defeat Satan/sin.
Now Jesus tells us we no longer have an excuse to continue to sin, and he loves those who no longer sin.

I quote a number of different bible versions, but I personally like the Jerusalem Bible. I do not like the KJV.

Johnlove,

I find it quite ironic you named yourself "love". You indeed do wield a sword. Jesus may have come to wield a sword but He also loved His friends (disciples) you are not Him and He did not tell us to wield swords but to love. It says so in His word - John 13:34.

Disciples? Who are Jesus’ disciples? I know that Jesus disciples would agree with my witness. Let us take a look at what scripture says about who disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord and God are.

First a disciple is a follower of Jesus. Jesus said he would call his own out by name and they would follow him. Jesus always does the will of his Father in Heaven. A follower of Jesus always obeys Jesus.

Jesus told us who it is that are in him.

(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

(Matthew 5:48) “Even the pagans do as much, do they not? You must therefore be perfect just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”

(Luke 14:33) “So in the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions.”

(Matthew 6:19) “Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and woodworms destroy them and thieves can break in and steal.”

(Matthew 5:48) “Even the pagans do as much, do they not? You must therefore be perfect just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

and??? This qualifies yourself more than anyone else here? Quoting scripture will not help you one jot when you come face to face with God. You are not sinless you have already proven this.

Have you ever heard of the word "humility"?

Jesus is with me all the time, and if he believes that I need any correction it will be given to me very sharply. I follow Jesus Christ our Lord and God, and he never lets me be in any danger of doing anything wrong.

You should know that there is only one way he or she can be sure it is God leading/teaching them. That way is if he or she see that they are living all of God’s Commandments, and never commit any wrongdoing. Only God can give one the grace to always keep his Commandments.

Let me ask you this John; do you love your enemies? I'm not being mean asking you this because this is something I struggle with. Do you love terrorists? Child molesters? Rapists? Please be honest.

Loving one’s enemies means one does them good. He or she does not need to have emotional love for their enemies. There is no problem doing good for those who wish me evil.

Jesus somehow lets me not even feel or have any negative reaction when people want to harm, or wish me evil. The people do not even stay in my thoughts. Jesus once told me if I could not think of something good about a person, then don’t think anything at all of them. Jesus makes it so I can do as he told me.

When I was first into Jesus’ ministry the Holy Spirit let me know that my cross would be that I would lose everything I owned, and also all my friends. I was told that what was to be shared by me would make most people very angry with me. So over the last forty years I have made many enemies.

Also Jesus once came into my living room, and told me we were not to hurt/harm anyone for any reason. I had been in the USA Armed Forces for five years, and always believed it was my duty to defend, with force, my country.

It is only through the leadership, and grace given to me by God that I am able to keep God’s Commandm

Wow there is an introduction worth noting. I especially like the part about not being here to make friends. Likely to be very successful in that endeavor.

I'm certain that God is impressed.

Thank you for your service in the United States military.

I often regret that I didn't serve, and I would in a heartbeat if I could, although it would probably be with a different regret today, and that would be when I consider who the sitting Commander-in-Chief is, and I can't even IMAGINE having to serve under a possible Mrs. C-o-C if liberal leftists get their way in the next election.

That aside, need I remind you that if EVERY one in the military took your position of 'don't hurt/harm anyone for any reason' , there would be no USA, no advancement of the gospel, and no johnnylove to tell everyone on cchat how non-christian they all are?

And to think, you get your messages from direct personal visitations from God Himself popping up in your living room.

Friend, I pray you're only having a little Saturday CC FunHouse antics, because if your really believing what you're posting here, you are sorely deceived, and if your age is true, I really pray for Jesus to deliver you and set you aright upon the Solid Rock of Salvation that He Himself is.

Either way, I pray for you, and I'm sure others here will as well. You've been around long enough to know there's already enough nonsense in the world, you don't need to add more.
No.....
