I really don't have any words to say about your marital problems except to remember Romans 8:28 Romans 8:28New International Version (NIV) [SUP]28 [/SUP]And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[SUP][a][/SUP] have been called according to his purpose.
We can't always see what His purpose is in some of the things we go through, BUT we have HIS promise that it is for Our good. He loves you, your brothers and sisters in Christ love you. Trust in Him. Lean on Him, and REST in Him.

Speaking from experience you're going to have to fight for your child. Get a child family therapist involved who is reputable in custody disputes and get the court to ensure that your child sees them on a regular basis. This will insure accountability from both you and your wife as well as support to your child during the transition. Tell your lawyer that you want a graduated parenting plan that eventually becomes equal time with both parents. Every court in the land now recognizes the importance of both parents having equal parenting time. This is about the well being of your child now.
