Medication for mental and emotional will never truly help you, so I am glad that you have refused to take them. The only advice I can really give you is to seek the Lord and ask him to help you. He at not answer right away, but the Bible say "Seek and ye shall find." God wants to help you, but apart of faith is called for a lot of times.

Yup, they only do long term damage to your brain and vital organs. But what do you mean by religious experiences? Demons can show you stuff to...so just use discernment whether you're being demonically attacked/spoken to or if it's really God/Jesus/Holy Spirit talking to you. If it doesn't line up with the Bible chances are you're being deceived by a demon/spirit of falsehood.

I'm certainly no stranger to mental distress but don't take any medications whatsoever. I really don't think that happy meds will contribute to your happiness, yours or mine. Like your screen name I'm looking for peace too. Just got to look in the right place and learn to be content at the present moment. Welcome to CC.
Welcome to CC, my friend. You are wise to Look to the Lord and seek prayer first. It pleases God when we acknowledge Him as the ultimate source of all good things, healings and otherwise. Too many today panic and go to God only as a last resort and an afterthought. He can use magic pools and spit-mud if He chooses. But you have put first things first. Let Him guide you. I will pray for you.

I have been suffering with really bad depression and anxiety i have been shown religious items in many ways a angel around the sun i hve a photo to proove this it was amazing i wish i could upload it here i have been in trouble through out the years but not because i go out to hurt people bit because my gp the police no one understands whst i see i cant tell them in fear off them sectioning me what i see is real and i know theres a message but i need to know how to understand it
