I am new. I guess you search for prayer communities when you are desperate, and that is how I am feeling. Here is my story. I work at an academic medical center. I work hard and never miss a day. My boss NEVER goes to work. She was fired from the school which was a state position. (We must swipe in and out of the parking garage and the school had the reports. We still park in the same lot, but it looks like she has gotten away with it.) I lost my job because of her. I lost my state retirement pension. She stayed on in the clinical system and so did I so that i had a job. I got my graduate degree and have done both her job and y job every single day. She STILL does not come to work. She gets away with it because she says that she is there and i do all of the work. I a capable and now have the credentials. I know what you are thinking, "Why would you allow this?" I did because she PROMISED me HER job. I believed her.Two weeks ago, while I was doing her job, she called me from home and told me that I was going to lose my professional status because I do not make enough money. I get paid for 32 hours a week and work at least 60. She works zero hours a weeks and makes over 200,000. All I want is to be paid for doing the job that i do. She also told me in the phone call that she was retiring on 8/24/2017 so i could find a new job. I'm 60. I have invested everything in her passive aggressive promises. I realize now that she did this so that I would continue to do the work. I admit I am stupid because I believed her. I so wanted it to be true. She lies so much that she truly believes that her lies are the truth. What I have worked my butt off is this: She will have a generous pension and I have nothing. At 60 years old I need to find a job and will have to work until I die to simply survive. I wish that she told the truth. I'm just devastated. I spoke to the state retirement board and they said that if I could get a job back in the school and say for 5 years i could have my retirement back. Father in Jesus holy name let me have the job that was promised to me that I love, or find a school job to get my retirement back. Amen

Lord, I wish to pray for this woman. I pray that you be with her, and help her thru her trials and tribulations. May she find a job, and get her retirement back. May her boss find the errors of her ways and find you.
In Jesus's name, amen.

Sounds like this one of those "life lessons." At age 60, you should be used to this by now. If that sounds hard, well maybe it is, but it is real.

Hello Nywin, and welcome. :)
That's a disappointing situation. We can't fix it, but we can encourage and befriend you, and continually point you to the One Who can sort it out righteously. We can pray for you too. May I suggest you post the story in the Prayer Request page, and that you break it up into shorter paragraphs to make it easier to read?

Yes, unfortunately this is not new to me. I won't go into any back story or the things that I have had to endure while working and taking care of my family. Since you have know idea what I have been through, I ask that you not judge. (When I say I have been through a lot, it has nothing to do with crummy situations, it has to do with several unexpected immediate family deaths and profound sadness.) I came because I wanted prayer and community. Thanks.

Thank you. I have 2 applications that are in progress. I just lift the entire situation up in Jesus' name. I don't know what to do, but He will guide me and I will listen. Amen.

It reminds me a lot of PS. 37 and Rom. 8:28

How did you lose your job and pension because of her? I'm not clear on this. I'm not sure why you would also do her job besides your own, and also, why wasn't this discovered a long time ago. How long has this been going on? How can she promise you her job unless she was in a position to hire you herself?

I have said a prayer for God to help you with your situation.

Hopefully, you will find comfort and support on this site.

Welcome to CC.

Hi, we both worked for both the medical school and the hospital. The Dean had the parking report that proved that she never came to work and fired her. They told me that they were sorry, but without her, there was no job for me. The Chief Medical officer told us to retire from the school and transition to the hospital. I did what i was told. Because i was not of age and did not have 20 years I did not get a state pension. (She did.) Now that she took back her promises, I called the state retirement board and explained everything. The kind man told me to get a job in the school, stay for 5 years, pay back 54,000 that they paid for my insurance and I could have my pension. They would allow me to pay back the insurance from my new check over 5 years. If I ca get a job back in the school, I would consider all of this anguish a blessing. I hope that I have explained better. PS: She is in a very powerful position. She promised me her job because I do the work and have the credentials.

Welcome nywin, and hoping the Lord will help you today with your burdens. And the people on cc too, that they can bless you, just as you will, esp. the younger who so need guides and reminders that they not go thru some of the more difficult ones we went thru that we wish they need not by the grace of God.
