I was not a Christian few months ago but now I am converted. I should not say converted as I don't know what you have to do to become a Christian. I have just become Christian by heart and think that I am, nothing more done as I don't know how you enter the faith. I was so impressed by Christ . The more I knew him the more inspired I became. Then it turned into fascination and admiration do powerful that I converted. I still know very little about him but one thing I am sure that the more I ll know about him the more I ll love himhim.
I am so lonely here. There are almost no Christian here. I can't tell anybody I am Christian. I ll risk my life if I do. I am very depressed.

It's good you have decided to accept the Lord in your life. You should get a bible if you dont have one and read Gods word daily. Live a holy life for God and reject any kind of sinful tempations. Pray daily and repent for your sins. Try not to fear anything of this world the Lord is with you.

Sorry I didn't say hi.
Plus I started two threads by mistake. Can anyone from the moderators merge them?
Should I get a Christian name?

You are not required to change your name you were given at birth.

Aw, while I can imagine it is a very very very difficult situation you are facing I am so so so so so glad you came to Christ!!!!!!! That is wonderful!
Christianity is not like some religions where you have to change your name or anything like that as a convert. (You are supposed to do that when you convert to Judaism though)
Just accept God into your life. Trust that He will get you through the difficult trials you are now facing and will face in the future.

Now, Christians aren't told we will have a perfect life. You are going to suffer in this life, sometimes, yes, it will be for the Father. But rejoice when you suffer, because the suffering in this world leads to a world with no tears or sorrow.

Welcome to the family in Christ, you are no longer alone! :)

Since Christianity involves inner transformation - not outer appearance - a person can be a Christian even if they live in Mecca. Welcome to Christian Chat.

Hello and welcome to CC and especially to the family of Christ! By the blood of Jesus and the Grace you have been saved for all eternity. Focus on His Grace and love and let that shine out to others so they would desire it.

Dear Holy Father, please strengthen, guide, and make Your Presence and will known to this new believer in Your Son Jesus Christ. Protect him in a dangerous land for Your Children. In Jesus Sweet Name I pray.

Thanks everyone for your welcome and best wishes.
Please pray for me. Here life has become like as if the society around me has turned into a jungle of men. Such men that no longer understand my language or thought and who if they find out my reality would devour me in the name of saving their religion. I pray day and night. Sometimes I feel like going on the rooftop and shout out that Jesus is my Lord and love conquers laws and I have the right to choose my way and walk on it freely and openly. I feel like my chest will burst out.
Sorry my English is not very good.

Your English is better then most people who have it as a first language.
Prayers are sent your way, hold on to your faith through everything. God holds you in His loving arms.
I agree you should have that right but sadly many people don't. But you and so many others still find life in Jesus :) You have no idea how many you inspire just by finding that life in Him.

Hello Loneltconvert.. Welcome to CC..

The important thing for you is to believe Jesus and trust that He can secure for you eternal life in His perfect existence..

There are many online Bibles that you can read online and there are others that you can download.. It should be your objective to read the Message of Jesus contained in the Bible in the 4 books within called Matthew , Mark, Luke and John.. Getting to know the Message of Jesus is very important for a new Christian..

Believing Jesus and trusting in His salvation is two critical things in the lives of all Christians..

Remember that you can speak to God at any time and ask Him for help in understanding His will.. I hope you find some help in CC in your life as a Christian..

But be wary because there are a lot of false Christians in this world giving wrong teachings, May God guard you from deception and guide you along the right Way.. :D

I should say that I get little confused when I come across different school of thoughts like Methodists, protestant, Catholic, Jehovah's witness, etc. I know something about Protestant and Catholic but know nothing about others. Is it necessary that I choose one.
I personally believe that God has made us with an inherent, built in switch in us that leads us towards the good. Whenever we come across something good this switch fits in like a male and female socket fit in. Or like the tip of a cell phone charger fits in its place in the cell phone. Then God approves or disapproves your choices by giving you an inwards reward in the form of a subtle and deep joy or pain. So when I come across different Christian school of thought, I think I ll choose from everyoneeveryone wherever I feel is good.

It is necessary that you allow the message of Jesus to be your guide first and foremost.. If you read the New testament and get knowledgeable then you will be able to see where there is false beliefs and where there is true beliefs..

Use the Bible as the guide to what is true and what is not true and again most importantly.. Keep asking God for His guidance in truth and protection from deception..

It isn't necessary that you choose one.
Basically they are all under the umbrella of Christianity but have a few things that they all disagree on.
I consider myself non-denominational.
There is a lot of contreversy against Catholicism here is just a warning

Welcome

The moment you believe that Chris is who he said he is, and accept him as your saviour , asking his forgiveness for sins,
you are a Christian. The bible also speaks of confessing that Jesus is Lord, and of baptism.

Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

This also intrigued me too???
I chose it without thinking. I had to click on something when completing registration form. Also my home country name is not correct , and that too for some reason.
What should I choose?
