Well I guess I'might looking for a bit of extra fellowship. I have attended a young adults bible study for the last cpl years, and needless to say. We as a group called a break as the leader was in the flesh for a good time. I am not very confident it will start back up. But I do miss the fellowship of same aged like minded individuals!

Welcome to christian chat, you don't have to overwhelm yourself here. I also would like to find people my own age (I'm 21 years) to have talks with and socialize, no longer living in the state's city, I come to places like this to do the same thing your doing. :)

I suppose a little explanation of the sites features would be helpful in helping you feel a little less overwhelmed. I'm also new here, but this is what I've figured out.

You are in the forum. Any user can respond here, a notification goes to your email not your sight inbox. threads can be tens of hundreds of pages if commented enough on. Remember if you comment on a thread this long, and it continues to grow at a fast pace, each response goes to your personal email! The forum categories are self explanatory, the theories and corruption forum being the only one you can't view logged off.

There is also a chat room for members and guests. This is usually frequented by the same individuals, and i've noticed who you get is somewhat dictated by the time of day.

The other feature I would consider a main function is your inbox messages, on the sight here. If you click the notifications link at the top of the page, a drop down list will appear which will say inbox, or a kind of notification. click on it, and it will bring you to the inbox. where you can send private messages to other users if you have their name. You also have a activity page, from which there are options on the left to send a private letter, which brings you to the same inbox, of use other options listed on the page. This is accessible to you be clicking on your name at the top of the website page.

This sight like most others has people who are here for discussing openly the overall sight theme, and also has people here who seem to be here to be internet bullys. I say this because somebody comments on your thread or replies back to you something upsetting, I would urge you to consider their possible reason before replying, if the person is seemingly trying to agitate you or not resolve agitating you, I would want you to know it is possible they are looking for a fight, you could walk away.

Well as a new user also this is about the extent I can help make sense of this place for you, there's little things you might notice like a forum post made a while ago which is still on the front page is still being commented on, meaning it could be interesting. Explore and see what's on the site a little, I have found some really cool concepts being shared here, and when you feel like speaking back to somebody, reply, get a conversation going.

Have a good one,

friendinpeace

I figured it meant, busy pursuing fleshly desires, and not studying scripture, but it could have had a different meaning.

Welcome to Christian Chat, PhillipS. Maybe you could continue your Bible study group with a new leader. Maybe you could be the leader. It doesn't take much. Just read the material ahead of time and then moderate the discussion.

Yes exactly! As in living in the flesh, pursuing lusts of the world. Not living in the spirit or being lead by spirit.

Honestly I do feel called to it, I will give it time. The former leader of group is doing well now, but says his heart is not really in it right now at this point in his life. I am at this moment attending school of ministry, I think I will wait until after next semester until I bring it to our head pastor, about starting a young adults group again.

Well philips, you seem to have gotten a rather warm welcome to even this community, I think this is n indication to you you should feel quite comfort here.

Also, it would depend on when you want it, if you feel starting a group should happen after the semester wait to see if there is none til then, if you want to start organizing one today, begin, my distain for the enemy says do not wait a whole semester because one member who happened to be the leader turned to fleshly desires for a little bit, this is probably why it was the leader who was tempted, so there would be no young adults meeting to discuss the Bible for the whole semester, though im not there, make a judgement call

PM me anytime by the way

True, but a good chunk of our bible study group is in the school of ministry with myself. I want to make sure I am ready to go 150% into it before hand. Tbh I am somewhat struggling with being single right now. The Lord has spoken to my heart, and has told me he will bring us together, but man oh man is it hard waiting. I think I have an idea of who it may be, or truly hoping for lol. Although there is chemistry between us. I know I cannot do it on my own as I tend to act out of flesh in this topic, but I'm waiting on him because I know in this area in particular, I struggle with oh so much. I honestly feel the lord is maturing me in this time by granting me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Him, and his word. This last few months alone it feels like I have been spiritually supercharged. This area alone is probably one of the top 5 hardest battles I have had to face, and this coming from a guy who was given ten years to live after being diagnosed with an auto immune disease when I was 10. Where literally every part of my entire anatomy was affected from the inside out, and being 100% healed by God's grace upon me.
